The Whitby offers a variety of delicious choices for appetizers and entrees. Not only are their salads fresh and crunchy, they are visually a work of art. The Dover Sole continues be an exceptional entree, and the pasta choices would satisfy any vegetarian. The accompanying mushroom sauce is a gem.
Best afternoon Tea experience we've had in the US. The staff and server were super friendly. The ambiance is amazing, colorful, adorned with interesting art. The teas were high quality and premium, and the food was delicious. It's a bit of a high price tag but you expect that going in and it's well worth it. Would highly recommend this experience.
At first I was skeptical that this would be a worthwhile experience. Certainly I was comparing the Whitby to afternoon tea in England, and my initial impression was not favorable. The hostess was not terribly communicative or friendly. The seating is really close so much so it felt like we were at table for six instead of a cozy spot for tea and scones. The conversations on both sides of us were very distracting and intrusive on our meal. The server actually turned things around...
