Okay I love Thursday Kitchen and there's no denying the food is delicious. Go in person, cannot recommend it enough!!!

But DO NOT ORDER TO GO.

This photo may not show it but look at the size of my hand... I have a normal sized hand. The amount of grits they offer in the to-go is smaller than the sauce container. Less than spoonful. For the price, it's crazy.

Really delish Korean tapas type restaurant. The edamame dumplings were perfect entities. The tomato salad cheese thing was very fresh. Solid vegetarian options. The deconstructed tacos were really yummy too.

It’s a quaint little restaurant. Great lighting, very cozy. Not too busy for a Monday night.

The touches were very nice… however… they do water in a plastic cup. Which is crazy I think? For a $40+ meal.

I didn’t think the tapas were that exceptional - I could make something like it at home - but they were nice, in a nice atmosphere.

Truffle Mac n cheese was homey.

Terrible. Everything was terrible so it is hard to list them up all. Taste was terrible. It is surprising that it is insulting Korean and Spanish food at the same time. Had paella and it tasted rather like rice and kimchi in water. Portion was very small. One dish is for 0.2 person. Too expensive considering the portion. The waiter even told me to have more than 2 dishes for 2 ppl since the portion is small. The floor squeaks every time the waiters moved around. Too many of the workers just moving around doing nothing. I still wonder how this restaurant got good reviews.

Great service! I’m definitely a fan of the chicken and noodles and plantain. I’ll have to try the mac and cheese when I come back. Not sure how I felt about the cocktail I got but overall a great experience here!

A cockroach crawled down the wall touching our table, nearly onto my friend and our food. I understand this is out of the restaurant's control however when we got up and asked to be moved to a new table the servers were EXTREMELY rude. They did not apologize once. Instead, they said "if you'd like to be moved you can wait outside for a table to be available." Didn't comp anything on our check until we asked very nicely, one server gave us $20 off a $180 bill (not including tip- yes we still tipped).
Still didn't apologize. Food took forever to come out.
Disappointed because I was really excited to try this place but l wouldn't recommend.

Please get the edamame dumplings!! The best thing I’ve had there. Service was quick, and the food was pretty good. Took one star off because my friend didn’t like her truffle mac & cheese and I wasn’t a huge fan of the lucky noodles, but I will definitely go back and explore more of the menu. Nice atmosphere, but it gets crowded and loud quick.

Visited on Friday night. Arrived at 7:00 PM and waited 1 hour and 20 minutes to be seated. We ordered four dishes: Kimchi Paella, Ugly Potatoes, Truffle Mac and Cheese, and Korean Chicken.

1. Food

The only dish worth the wait was the Truffle Mac and Cheese.
• Kimchi Paella: It came with four nicely cooked shrimp on top, but that was the highlight. The mixed seafood was overly chewy and had an unpleasant smell.
• Ugly Potatoes: The sauce and feta cheese were a good combination, but the potatoes themselves were too hard and dry.
• Korean Chicken: While the sauce was flavorful, the chicken had a terrible odor, likely from poor marination or low-quality ingredients. I can make better this dish with Bibigo chicken from Costco or H mart.

2. Service

The manager was kind enough to let us wait inside for the last five minutes before our table was ready. The female server was very attentive and welcoming, but the male server gave off a disinterested vibe, as if he just wanted to go home. The slow table turnover could have been an opportunity for more attentive service, but only the female host and server seemed to be making an effort. It’s clear they’ve hired more staff, but proper training on service etiquette—especially in food handling and presentation—is essential.

3. Overall Review

I had high expectations, but the experience was disappointing. I felt terrible making my wife wait over an hour for her birthday dinner, only to have a subpar meal. It’s okay to try it once, but based on this experience, I wouldn’t return.

The food takes forever to be served and if you order 3 or 4 things, they bring 1 at a time.

Great Korean tapas experience at Thursday Kitchen. In total we got 9 dishes, here’s what I think:

Heirloom tomato - do not recommend, they’re just whole tomatoes with a tiny bit of indistinguishable sauce
Edamame dumpling - 9.5, flavorful, unique, great texture
Ugly potato - 7/10 crispy and tasty, but cheese was too bulky and hard
Chilaquiles - not very Korean but absolutely fantastic, highly recommend.
Soft shell crab - tasty, but have had better
Kimchi paella - do not recommend, it just didn’t hit like I expected, and I had to do a lot of work for my shrimp

Truffle Mac and cheese - 10/10 highly recommend so light, cheesy, and truffly and im not even big on Mac and cheese
Korean popcorn chicken - very tasty and perfectly moist chicken bites
Steak - perfectly cooked, tasty, both greens and grits were delicious

I recently dined at Thursday Kitchen in New York, and while the food was absolutely amazing and the drinks were delicious, the service left something to be desired. Our waitress seemed eager to push us to order throughout the meal, which felt a bit rushed. Toward the end, she asked if we wanted to order more, and when we said yes and chose the Mac n' Cheese, she told us it would take too long to prepare. It was confusing and a bit disappointing to be encouraged to order more food, only to be told it wasn't feasible. This inconsistency took away from what could have been a truly special experience.
