The staff was extremely rude. They charged us for the incorrect bill and instead of apologizing they gave us attitude. When ordering drinks the server was very unknowledgeable about the menu and didn’t even come check in on us. The drinks were also mediocre. For a Saturday night the place was dead. Do not recommend!

Great bar! Some of the best drinks I’ve had in the City. The bar crew was so friendly too. The drinks and the presentation itself was amazing. Our first cocktails were so tasty and we initially didn’t even think they were strong, but boy, the way they felt in a bit haha. Honestly I’d definitely be back here for their tasting menu. We really enjoyed our night!

Atmosphere and vibes are peak. Drinks are expertly crafted by a congenial bartender who really knows their stuff.
For me, the food menu was not that interesting but I can see its appeal.

Illegally denied service for me and my service animal.
I found the drinks to be quite mediocre. It wasn’t a busy night at the bar, but after we had a couple of drinks, the waiter stopped refilling our water, which made us feel as if we were being encouraged to leave.

Rode the train from Jamaica just to try this spot. Walked in right at 1am. Closed. Google says open till 2am. I get some places close early if it’s slow but wouldn’t expect it that early or on a Saturday. Super sad.
The cocktails were pretty average compared to some other places in NYC, the ambiance is the star here.

Went here 3 years ago, came back coupe days ago from Chicago and wanted to celebrate our anniversary here. Came here from a different end of town just so we could make it for our reservation. Got seated, waited for over 25 minutes to get a drink or at least attention from a bartender. That did not happen. Stood up and left. Hostess was very disrespectful and rude. Didn’t even let us talk, kept talking over us when we tried to share our experience. Not even talking - screaming!!!! She kept saying that there’s only two people there and that we should take that into consideration. We tried to tell her, that nobody should allow reservations if you are short staffed. Because people wont get service that they deserve or paid for. Thank you so much thyme bar, for such horrible time. If we would have known we would have stayed where we had dinner with amazing service and food + drinks. At least we would have saved cab fare. This place was amazing 3 years ago. We had such a great time and wanted to come back for our anniversary. Its very very obvious that management or ownership changed. Hostess from Saturday needs more training and less attitude. Very disrespectful. Bartender really needs to work on social skills. Its not a repair shop where you just “fix things” and move to the next task. Not even eye contact in 25 min. Haven’t had this kind of “service” in a while, or actually ever. Just had to share this. Hire new people if you want this place to succeed. Hostess attitude is the main reason why I wanted to share this experience. Instead of apologizing, attacking! Wow

Giving this place 1 star due to the fact the menu prices don't reflect the actual payment price.
A glass of wine was $7 dollars more then advertised on menu. When brought to the attention of the person who served us, her response was, oh they haven't updated the menus. An absolute disgrace.
Otherwise the bar itself was very nice

Small little bar. But great atmosphere and bartender too! Its a speak easy too
nice place!
This place is basically now coasting on its previous reputation. What made Thyme Bar famous was its specialty cocktails with elaborate presentations. That’s most of the reason people were attracted to this place on Instagram and otherwise. I do not understand the business sense on doing away with your unique strength and still charging insane prices for basic cocktails.
Disappointed, especially as someone who enjoyed Thyme Bar before. If you liked Thyme Bar before these changes, fair warning it is not the same! Most of what made it good is not there any longer.
