Went for 7am breakfast, easy to get a seat but still took a while to get served. Lack of personality or warmth from any of the servers we came across, which is a shame because I imagine most tourists will visit this to experience an “American diner”. Witnessed a senior staff member being rude and unhelpful to a French tourist who needed help with the subway, seemed a shame that he couldn't take a few seconds to help, when the place was half empty. Comfy seats, convenient location, food average.

The staff were rude, the whole place is dated and the food was mediocre. There was hardly anyone in there, yet they squashed us between two families. The sweet potato chips were hard but my omelette was ok. I would not recommend this place, there are plenty of other lovely restaurants about.

Such a shame. Food was rubbish, straight out of the freezer. If you expect something here, you most likely aren't going to get it. Such a shame because the prices would suggest you are getting a normal meal... however it was terrible. The service though was ok, our lovely waitress was very kind and considerate and the bar staff all had smiles. However, for a very expensive dinner, and still tipping 20% this place is not worth it.

Because of its location, this place hops when something's happening at Madison Square Garden. We had a party of 12, but they do a nice job a keeping things moving though.

Fast service but expensive as heck. Coming from Oregon or any other moderate col place you will be hit w/ sticker shock. I've had chicken and waffles for under 20 countless times. Servers were friendly and direct.

Made reservations in person for me & 2 friends, one blind, 2 with back problems. I asked & Maria selected the the seats I needed for the next day. There was ample seats in that place. This guy came and kicked us out of there, and sent us all the way to the back, in a corner, by a booth with 2 chairs.
I am so ashamed of having told my friends this was a very nice place! It was! Until that tall man pushed us out of the table- I understand there were 12 people - the same long table in the front was totally empty. We HAD reservations! He couldn’t care less!
Well, here I am, complaining! He ruined my planned wonderful afternoon! We 3 came from quite 3 quite a ways from there. I came from NJ, one came from almost the end of Brooklyn and someone else had to take a special trip been blind. That man didn’t stop until he forced us out of our seats!! 2 new customers who believed in my words: It’s very nice, I’ve been there many times- but I never thought the service would be so disgustingly rude unprofessional and totally uncaring. I would give, for that horrible afternoon. A minus zero for service poor attitude towards 3 ladies, that very tall man was anything a gentleman is supposed to be.
Maria, who made my reservations the afternoon before, and Jose went out of their way to be there for us! Maria brought the blind lady to me and settled her very, very nicely/ thank you, Maria, thank you, Jose a gentleman in every way! Both gave me excellent service both very respectful. Everything was going fine that Sunday afternoon until that animal pushed us out as if we were dirtying the place! You just lost a faithful customer. I’m so embarrassed!

Dietary restrictions: Tic Tac Restaurant lacks the Braille menu this lady asked for. We all had Brunch.

Yuck. Just go to 7-11. Food was gross and cold and the waiter couldn’t care less.

It’s located in one of the retail spaces, which are part of the building which houses the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel. ?Portions were small but the food quality was good. Pricing was not so-focused on delving value, as one expects with a diner, but not to the point that it was overpriced. There wasn’t a host there to seat you, so you sort of have to do it on your own. The waiter was the kind of person who is there for decades and knows the business of being a server to the point of being an institution within the industry - but not because it is how the business operates. He did what he could to make the best of the experience, but it’s clear he knows why people aren’t too happy. Very much a no-frills arrangement. However, ambiance was really modern and lively. It was here that Nick Jonas performed his hit “Bacon” live, together with Ty Dolla Sign at the 2016 VMA’s.

This was always my go-to diner for breakfast for years and just started commuting to NYC again. It's been renovated and the format has changed, which sounds nice but the prices are high and the portions shrunk. So many tourists... No longer a diner to grab a meal and run. The food is good, and it's clean. Just depends what type of atmosphere you are looking for.
