Absolutely nothing about this food they sell tastes like authentic Jamaican food. Jerked chicken was oven baked chicken with no flavor. Peas and rice were bland. It cost me way too much for this subpar food experience.

The best Jamaican food I have ever had, I traveled all the way from Boston and made it my mission. To eat here again! Soooo worth it. The food tastes amazing and the employees are extremely nice! I wish I lived in New York so that I could visit more often! Keep up the great work Big Tings!!!

Dominique at the register was so friendly, patient, kind, helpful. I couldn’t decide between jerk and curry chicken (for the bowl) and they gave me half of each. The food was delicious - the pineapple salsa was really nice - and the portions were very generous especially for Chelsea market. My friends got sorrel, patties, coco bread and soup and said those also tasted great. Music keeps the place lively. Highly recommend!

This place exceeds descriptive vocabulary. Employees delivered superior service and dishes arrived quickly. This spot offers the freshest ingredients without the premium cost. You pay fair prices for generous servings here. I couldn't identify any weaknesses.

Nothing about the food is Jamaican.
I bought oxtail for $27 and had to throw it away, rice was soft and had cinnamon in it.
False advertising Jamaican food, this was NOT it.

I wanted to love this place and let me start by saying the food was ok. It wasn’t great and it’s not the best Jamaican I have had but it’s ok. So if you need a Caribbean food fix it’s not terrible. Biggest turn off was the man serving me. He was not at all friendly as I tried asking general menu questions. He was very short and abrasive and the music was way too loud. If the first person you approach as you are about to spend $30 on a mediocre lunch is not friendly it’s just off putting. Sorry guys, start with your customer service. I won’t go back.

Had the oxtail rice bowl and it was a flavor explosion - everything was delicious and the meat was especially juicy. Plenty of counter seating around and they have sides and drinks as well. Would try to do more of the dishes here.

The food was cooked to perfection texture is perfect I must say and the staff is friendly and attentive so the service gets a five-star unfortunately the food doesn't quite hit like a Jamaican spot should the flavors aren't their. it is good don't get me wrong but it is lacking that Jamaican passion those hole in the wall spots have.

Tender, juicy, a slight spice, and flavorful. The jerk chicken at this place is spot on. I ordered a jerk chicken sandwich, would honestly just recommend going for the jerk chicken bowl. Although the meat between the bread was excellent, the bun was subpar. Coleslaw was fresh and yummy. Lots of seating and vibrant energy. Come eat here !!!!!!

Went to CM for the first time and stumbled upon Big Tings. Got the fresh fruit juice, jerk chicken sandwich and 1/4 chicken - SO GOOD! Last time I had jerk chicken THAT good was from a roadside stand near Montego Bay. We will be back!!

Jerk chicken burrito is the best burrito I've had, meat is tender and not too spicy but spicy enough, it's big and worth it trust. 10/10

Too expensive and poor quality food. $27 for an oxtail bowl that is mostly over cooked rice. $17 for burnt jerk chicken. I could have gotten better food from the food carts on the street corner, at less than half the price.
