What a fun dining experience. We had just returned from vacationing in Spain and this restaurant delivered authentic Spanish cuisine with impeccable service. The big surprise was the amazing clientele, enormously talented, who shared their gifts as part of open mic night. Not only was the quartet performing first rate, they were funny, accommodating and talented. Definitely surpassed our expectations in this cool little part of the city. Our out of town guests loved the vibe, too. So grateful we found you!!!

When we walked in we were the only table, eventually one party showed up. It took almost 20 minutes for them to take our drink and food order and that was because I finally flagged someone down. The food quality wasn't that good. It tasted like the same seasoning was used on every food item with the same sauce pairing. Just wasn't an exciting food experience.

We had an amazing experience at the restaurant! The food was delicious and our server, Diego, was absolutely fantastic — very attentive, kind, and professional. We also had the pleasure of enjoying a live jazz band, which made the evening even more special. It was an unforgettable experience, and we're definitely coming back, not only for the incredible food but also for the outstanding service Diego provided. Highly recommend!

This is the place to go for Paella. I enjoyed a delicious Paella de la Huerta, full of vegetables and flavor. They also had live music starting at 6 p.m.

Lovely neighborhood place. Feels family run. Good tapas. Tasty entrees. Fun for a group or a couple.

The Mariscos was absolutely delicious and their red snapper was such a delight. Stephen was a great server and made sure we were always attended too. 10/10. Would always go back for the experiences! THANK YOU TIO PEPE

Wish I had a chance to try the food, but after waiting for over an hour after putting in our order (and no other tables getting their food) I had to leave.

I wish we could’ve eaten here but they either discriminate against tourists or Latinos. My grandfather, father, and I came here last night and after being seated, no one came to attend us. We waited for 20 min (which I timed) until we had enough and left. Mind you, the restaurant was also less than half empty.
We went in casual clothing due to all of the walking we did but still wanting the last official meal of our trip to be special, we came into this restaurant expecting to be treated as fellow human beings. Instead, we were ignored.
I DO NOT recommend.
Instead head a few blocks down to Sevilla, another local Spanish restaurant, in which they treated us as esteemed customers and the food was divine (which might explain why there was a line there instead of in Tio Pepe)

September 2024 - We recently dined at Tio Pepe, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish!! The food was absolutely delicious ant the atmosphere was warm and inviting. What truly set this experience apart was the incredible service. Liana, the manager, was phenomenal. She didn't just manage the restaurant, she managed to make everyone feel like they were old friends. Her personal attention to our table, along with her genuine interactions with every guest, really elevated our experience. I can confidently say we'll be back 100%. Tio Pepe is now one of our favorite spots. Highly recommended!!!

November 2024 -Since Google doesn’t allow a second review, I’m updating my thoughts from two months ago. My original review from September still stands, but with the change in management, I feel compelled to add my two cents.

While the food and service remain great, the atmosphere has taken a hit. The new manager, was openly rude to his team, and his focus seemed more on his own status than on creating a welcoming experience for guests. It’s a stark contrast to the warm environment Liana maintained when she was in charge. Sadly, this will be my last visit!!

Poor experience. Service was very slow, food was undercooked, coffee was ice cold. Would not go back.

Service was very attentive, came on a Sunday when a lovely group of senior people kept singing throughout the night, I think that some of them were well-known jazz musicians in the city. Food hit the spot just right

Thanks to the manager Jhon for checking up on out table and making sure we had a good time, would def recommend to stop by if you are hungry and are looking to be comfortable while eating and drinking, take a visit!
