Always come here and love the vibe

It is a lit place with loud music that can semi-destroy my ear drums but if you go to the top floor, aka the roof top, you'll be fine.

Cool set up, plenty of tvs. Unfortunately, the service was some of the worst Ive ever received in a bar/restaurant. Maybe staff was miserable because place was empty and maybe it was empty because of the miserable staff

Came here for the bottomless brunch. The waitress was awesome and the food was really good as well. They make the drinks strong and so the brunch is really worth it

I will never come here ever again and I highly recommend anyone who plans on going to this bar for a Penn State game to think twice. I arrive with my coworker around 5:30 well before the game had even started. We were not greeted with a hello or anything but instead interrogated on our plans for the night with several waitresses asking us if we had planned to stay for the evening for the game and essentially forcing us to sit at a table instead of having a drink at the bar so that we could "get started" on the $300 table minimum for a Penn State game. So we listened and ordered a few more beers waiting for our friends to arrive. More of our friends came and we ordered beer buckets and food from the bartender since our waitress was nowhere in sight. The game started and was about 6 minutes into the first quarter when the waitress who we had not seen for at least an hour came up to us and said that we needed to hurry up and order more things since we were only "$129 into the $300 minimum per table that was stated" and I told her that the game had JUST started and if she came around in the next twenty minutes we would order more stuff. Then I went downstairs to use the bathroom since there is no bathroom on the rooftop. As I tried to go back upstairs, I was stopped by a bouncer who told me they had reached their capacity for the rooftop and I had to wait. I explained that I had a table with friends upstairs that was under my credit card AS WELL AS my driver's license. He then proceeded to get in my face and tell me to go somewhere else if I didn't want to wait. And I said even if I wanted to leave, I can't because the waitress has my credit card AND my driver's license UPSTAIRS which was being held for a $300 TABLE that she won't let me forget about. He still wouldn't let me up and several more people WITH TABLES BEING HELD BY THEIR CREDIT CARDS started to line up with me trying to go back upstairs. I finally got back up and found out through my friends that several more people I invited couldn't get into the bar even though they told the bouncer that they had a table waiting for them. The waitress then came over and said we were only at $170 of our $300 minimum. Never politely asked if we needed anything else or how we were doing, just simply kept reminding us to spend more money. I told her we can't spend more money if our friends aren't being allowed into the bar and several of my other friends could not even come back to the table after going to the bathroom. The whole thing was a complete disaster. Everyone there is EXTREMELY rude. I have worked as a waitress in a sports bar extremely similar to Tonic East and have never treated anyone with such disrespect as what I received. I will definitely never be going back and I would give this place ZERO STARS if I could.

Food is great. Nice sports bar

Tonic east is a good place to grab drinks. They have a large bar, rooftop bar. The food is ok, it's what you would expect it to be in a bar. It can get very loud, between the ppl and the music you can barely hear each other. It can be very crowded at times. I would go back for the drinks.

just had a caesar's chicken salad, margarita and a regular coke! cool place to hang: multiple screens, sports bar and three floors! can't complain

It's a nice place with a decent view of the Empire State Building. Nothing extraordinarily great but just a cool place to hang out at.

On the weekends, be prepared for a decent DJ that attempts to spin multiple genres, but doesnt quite hit the mark. The venue looks chill and has plenty of space, but the drinks are over priced. Im certain the bartender just makes up the prices. And if youre a person of color, prepare for a possible challenge at the door to your dress code... which although may be appropriate; its a ploy designed to grease the palm of the bouncer. Best bet is to go during the daytime or certainly, not at all.

A casual spot for decent drinks and a multi level dance floor. Their rooftop isn't bad, it has a view of the Empire State Building and nothing else, so it's not like other pretentious bars with rooftops.

Solid rooftop with a great atmosphere and decently priced drinks. I do, however, question how they brand themselves as a sports bar that says you can "catch all your favorite football, basketball, soccer, and major sports events in our big screens" when they don't have the NFL Network on their network...

Fun place to see a game or just get some drinks. I like their music selection and also their general vibe.
