I highly recommend Toriya.
Delicious authentic yakitori with so many options it's hard to choose.
They also offer larger plates and smaller appetizers as well. I had their seafood okonomiyaki which was wonderful.
The drink menu is wonderful offering a good selection of Japanese beers, soju, and a very extensive and well crafted sake menu.
Also I was seated immediately despite dropping in at a prime time on a Friday evening.
The ambiance is very nice, well decorated with excellent choices in music that is not overly loud.
The staff were all lovely and very attentive as well. Truly top notch all around.
Vegetarian options: Numerous vegetable only Yakitori options as well as vegetarian friendly large plates.

Everything was amazing! Service was great! Only thing is they lacked more beef options. Everything we ordered was delicious! Highly recommend
A lively young scene at this izakaya . Love the variety of choices on the yakitori. Food and service are good!
I totally recommend, it is definitely a great hang out joint for casual bites and sake!

The food was actually great! My mate had said this place is good, but the music is out of control. He was right, it was very early dinner for us with a three-year-old at 5:30 PM, but it felt like a 1 AM nightclub.. The music was all over the place too . Staff did their job, but we’re hardly friendly. But I’d go back for the food..

Of all the izakayas in New York, this one is delicious. Listen to me.
Don't get caught somewhere else, drink here.
Food is good, but be careful with the tip guidance on the receipt. Restaurant provided wrong tip guidance, 20% should be around 70 but they put down as 20% = 84

If you are salt deficient, this is a fantastic restaurant for you. They serve the dishes just for those who have forgotten to have any electrolytes after running a marathon. About three times more salt than is needed. Do not recommend. Maybe people like it because the drinks are reasonably priced?

Limited food menu and average food quality. More a bar with snacks than a fully fledged restaurant. Very pushy service.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food was great. Portions are small, so be prepared to spend money if it's dinner. The aesthetic is perfection.

I would suggest going to this place on a weekday because of the quietness and the Ambiance that they give you.
a great date night spot or just a place for you to hang out with your friends. The pricing is not as bad
it is the food was delicious, and the staff was very attentive.

Just a poor value. With Oh Taisho so close, not sure why I’d come back here.
Food stop coming. Took them 1.5hrs to bring 3 skewers. Made a mistake in the order.
Not for ppl with dietary restriction
