I enjoyed all of the dishes at Torrisi—my favorite was the linguine but the table next to us informed us that the tortellini is the best on the menu. I loved the space—old school NY yet modern. The service wasn’t top notch but cordial. I would visit again.

My first visit to a MFG restaurant I was beyond thrilled with the experience. We arrived 15 minutes early to our 10:30 reservation and were kindly allowed us to wait out the difference by the bar. This was absolutely welcome considering the fact that we were seated in the main room and wouldn't have otherwise had an opportunity to check out the gorgeous bar room. Soon after we were greeted, brought to our table, and given our menus.

The food was sublime. In total we had the American Ham with Zeppole, Cucumbers New Yorkese, Tortellini Pomodoro, Cavatelli with Jamaican Beef, Chicken Alla Griglia, Duck Alla Mulberry, and an Affogato each. Absolutely everything was excellent, no complaints, but the Chicken Alla Griglia was in a league of its own. It was genuinely the best chicken dish I’ve ever had. If you’re coming here for the first time I think it’s an absolute must. All credit to our server, Mark S, for steering us in that direction.

Speaking about the service, Mark was a fantastic host and was an integral part of our experience. He had a great, effusive vibe and his command of the menu was exceptional. The only slight hiccup we had was that we never received the refill of table bread that we asked for, but overall that did not hamper the experience.

Reservations are challenging, but in my opinion anyone who cares about the NYC food scene has to come here at least once.

We finally made it in to try Torrisi as we've heard good things. I will say that the service is great and attentive, with attention to detail. The food is inventive and tasty, although rather on the rich side. The chopped liver was a standout so if you do manage to come please order it!
My only gripe was the linens - for a michelin star restaurant to use white linens that shed was a disappointment. I got linen sheddings all over my black pants.

We had such a fantastic time at Torrisi. The vibe was fun and lively, and everyone started off with an Aperol Spritz, which set the tone perfectly. All of the apps were delicious and every pasta we tried was excellent. The palate cleansers were a really fun touch with little icy bites that kept the meal feeling fresh and exciting.

For dessert, we ended up trying four different options, and honestly, every single one was amazing. At the very end, they brought out their cookie tray with all the classic Italian cookies, which was such a perfect way to finish the night.

Overall, Torrisi has great food, great energy, and thoughtful details that make the whole experience memorable. Would highly recommend and definitely plan to come back!

Pro tip: share! Order a bunch of things and share. You must order the ham zepolle and the tortellini pomodoro! Don’t ever skip the tortellini.

This place has amazing vibe, the service has always been top notch, from the hostess to the servers. And the food, I’d say keep it simple and share.

We came back a few times - although we had a weird first experience, this restaurant has become one of our favorites - it can be a bit loud in the main room, so if you prefer ask for a table by the bar.

The first time: Great vibe (although the music selection was sort of odd for me) - Feel we didn’t make the right choices for the food - we chose two of the specials - both crudo fishes - both were pretty underwhelming- the mackerel was way too thick for my taste for example. The hirmasa had 5 slices and so much olive oil that we could be barely taste the fish.

The lamb pasta was good and best part of the meal was probably the almond cheesecake.

I really enjoy dining at Torrisi. Some of my favorites include the House Endive Salad, the Charred Clam Boule, and the Linguini in a Pink Manhattan Clam Sauce. While the famous Tortellini Pomodoro is well-executed, I found it a bit bland for my taste. Our server recommended the Chicken alla Griglia, but while it was good, it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

Torrisi is hands down the best restaurant in NYC. My server, Marcus, was incredibly knowledgeable, and his busser, Hector, was fantastic, helping us split our food perfectly and keeping our table spotless. Marcus explained the menu with such energy and flair that it felt like a Broadway performance. We started with a variety of appetizers, and my favorites were the Foie Gras, American Hams with Zeppole, and the Pork Bun. Each time a dish arrived, Marcus was right there to describe it, and Hector was behind him, ensuring every plate was shared evenly among us. For pasta, we enjoyed the famous Tortellini Pomodoro, Cavatelli with Jamaican Beef Ragu, and Penne with Black Truffles. The pasta course was outstanding, and Hector even described the tortellini as “little pillows of happiness,” which couldn’t be more accurate. Then came the main course: a 35-day, 40 oz American Wagyu New York Strip, cooked to a perfect medium rare. It was easily the best steak I’ve ever had, just as Marcus promised when he said, “It’s the best steak your money can buy.” We finished with all five desserts, and my favorite was the Affogato. Marcus recommended a Carajillo, and Hector suggested a glass of Sauternes for my sister. She loved learning from Hector that Thomas Jefferson used to import that wine into the United States. The two of them geeked out over the history, which made the experience even more unique. Overall, the evening was unforgettable. Marcus’s passion for his work shone through in every detail, and Hector was warm, funny, and full of random but fascinating facts. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Torrisi NYC isn’t just a restaurant. it’s an experience. I was fortunate enough to get in at the bar once the dinner bell rang. The service was great, very welcoming! My favorite dish was the Cavatelli with Jamaican Beef Ragu...out of this world! If you have the chance to secure a resy, do it but even if you show up the day of. Get there at least 45 min before opening to guarantee a seat at the bar.

the restaurant opens at 5pm we were there at 4:40 on a friday, once we had our name on the list our bar table was ready at 7pm.

we expected alot from the dishes because of the hype, and we tried 3 starters, 4 pastas and a desert for 2 people so we did try a lot from the menu. There was only one dish that we ll remember.

The wine list is curated well but they only have very high end wines the cheapest bottle is above 150+ and the average I think was around 400$.

We wanted to try it because of the hype but will not be going back.
