One of my very favorite NYC restaurants! Have been a fan for over 20 years! Everything is delicious. I especially love their meatballs, Dover Sole and Merengue cake!
Food was average. Waiter was attentive and pleasant. We were seated upstairs in a very small dark area which altered the experience. We asked to sit elsewhere but not accommodated. The restrooms were in basement which was two levels down from our seating area Restaurant should have taken into account that older patrons shouldn't have to be seated on top level. We will not visit again
The food is always so good here. I enjoyed the grilled veal chop with a mushroom sauce. Very good and nicely prepared. We also had the fried artichokes which are so good. My wife had the veal marsala and loved it. And we finished the night with the meringue sponge cake and chocolate mousse. All very good. The staff is exceptional and friendly and the atmosphere is lovely and fun. Highly recommended!
Across the street from Carnegie Hall so if you are going there, the location is very good. The restaurant is very busy. The pizza, homemade mushroom ravioli, and fried artichokes were okay. Sent back the chicken parm twice because it was overcooked and yet still not hot. Just ordered a side order of pasta instead. They apologized and didn't charge for the pasta and coffees.
Had a wonderful dinner at this whimsical restaurant. First time here, but will definitely be back! Jeff was especially great!! :) Can't wait to return to NYC and come back for another awesome meal!
We enjoyed every aspect of our visit to Trattoria Dell'Arte and e sure to return on every trip to New York.
Very mediocre meal - salads, vegetables, and veal chop were all just ok. Not sure how they have over 4 stars.
Excellent across the board. Relaxed, friendly, but truly professional table service, Great food. The short rib meatballs are with a trip themselves - rich and subtle.
The best of the best always Jeff the GM and the rest of the managers and wait staff go above and beyond to make your visit unforgettable. I like to call it my second home because they ALL treat my family and I as if we are one big happy family. I highly recommend. God bless Trattoria dell Arte and their absolutely amazing staff! Sonny
Veal parm and spaghetti carbinara superior. We'd had cocktails before coming to restaurant and waiter threw in two glasses of prosecco. We've eaten here many times and will eat here many times more.

Sat at the bar for a delicious antipasto. Service was great! Trattoria del Arte continues to be a classic and a favorite!
The fact that they recognized my wife's birthday made this a place I would visit again. The chicken parmigiana was meh and truly lacked flavor and seasoning. The pizza was delicious. The surprise cannoli for my wife was absolutely delicious. If you like cheesy jokes and waiters that are constantly singing, then sit by the bar. Your wildest dreams will come true.
Always our first choice on our annual trips to NYC. Fried artichokes always to start with.
Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Have been coming here for forty years and never a bad experience.
Memorable food, service and ambience. Really a great choice among many Italian restaurants in midtown.
