We had the halibut in lemon butter sauce with lobster ravioli. t was delicious and the service was perfect. They work closely as a team to make sure your every need it met quickly.
Pre theater dinner. Excellent service and attentive to get us out on time. Had hearty garlic bread, three appetizers from antipasto bar, great Brussels sprouts salad, and tender veal piccata. Ended with awesome limoncello pie. All dishes could be shared for two. Jude, our server, was joyful and very accommodating.
food is outstanding, service was amazing. Was our first visit there in definitely won't be the last! looking forward to coming back.
Not only did this hotel allow me to make a reservation a week ago, they also sent a confirmation text to which I replied we would be there. When we arrived after they show that we scheduled in time in order to make this reservation, there was a sign of apology on the door, saying that they were now hosting a private party and would be closing at 7 PM, the time of our reservation. Not only that, when I called to understand more, they said they could not find our reservation, but then marked me as a no-show in OpenTable. My recommendation is to stay very far away or you will be disappointed.
Benjamin at the bar is amazing, the pizza crust as thin and crispy as parchment paper and antipasti bar the nines!
We celebrated my mom's 60th birthday, or to the waiters they say “happy birthday to a complete stranger” and it was the most fun and adorable thing ever! It was just the two of us and we planned to go for a show afterwards. We ate SO much. The garlic bread is a must, as well as the (maybe seasonal?) Pantone cake for desert! Prices are high but comparable for Manhattan food prices for GOOD Italian food! Ambiance is fun. If you don't like naked art on the walls or a lot of steps downstairs to the bathroom don't go, otherwise it was 10/10 for us!
Always always a pleasure. We have been here from Tampa on a couple occasions, actually 5 times cause one time we came back the next night. The food, atmosphere, and wait staff are all excellent. Jude was especially great this time; we sat in a room upstairs we haven't been in before. It was quiet and we had loads of room. Thank you Trattoria Dell'Arte! And Jude!
One of my very favorite NYC restaurants! Have been a fan for over 20 years! Everything is delicious. I especially love their meatballs, Dover Sole and Merengue cake!
Food was average. Waiter was attentive and pleasant. We were seated upstairs in a very small dark area which altered the experience. We asked to sit elsewhere but not accommodated. The restrooms were in basement which was two levels down from our seating area Restaurant should have taken into account that older patrons shouldn't have to be seated on top level. We will not visit again
The food is always so good here. I enjoyed the grilled veal chop with a mushroom sauce. Very good and nicely prepared. We also had the fried artichokes which are so good. My wife had the veal marsala and loved it. And we finished the night with the meringue sponge cake and chocolate mousse. All very good. The staff is exceptional and friendly and the atmosphere is lovely and fun. Highly recommended!

Across the street from Carnegie Hall so if you are going there, the location is very good. The restaurant is very busy. The pizza, homemade mushroom ravioli, and fried artichokes were okay. Sent back the chicken parm twice because it was overcooked and yet still not hot. Just ordered a side order of pasta instead. They apologized and didn't charge for the pasta and coffees.
Had a wonderful dinner at this whimsical restaurant. First time here, but will definitely be back! Jeff was especially great!! :) Can't wait to return to NYC and come back for another awesome meal!
We enjoyed every aspect of our visit to Trattoria Dell'Arte and e sure to return on every trip to New York.
Very mediocre meal - salads, vegetables, and veal chop were all just ok. Not sure how they have over 4 stars.
Excellent across the board. Relaxed, friendly, but truly professional table service, Great food. The short rib meatballs are with a trip themselves - rich and subtle.
