Have liked this place on occasion but a recent experience was surprisingly mediocre (at best). It took forever to take our order and then forever to deliver the food, which was cold and not great (and accordingly felt very overpriced). Then it took forever to take and deliver the dessert order. I got up twice and walked over to the serving station to try to expedite but the waiter was unresponsive.

We went in as tourists, needing sustenance after hanging out at Central Park. The whole time I was there I was asking myself: “is this a hidden gem, or a well know spot?” Apparently the latter. We arrived for dinner around 4pm so it was not packed. Staff were so friendly - even though we were a family with young kids. Hardly a dream table as I recall from waiting tables. But we were treated like kings. I sure felt like one, surrounded by my family and helpful, attentive service.Il the ambiance is also very cool - you walk into an unassuming front area but then it opens up to a large bright dining room.Food was excellent, although we were not particularly adventurous - three pizzas and a spaghetti with (sooo tender) short rib meatball. 5/5 on all, but service was a 6/5. A new favourite for me.

Went to dinner on a Friday night with a reservation as this restaurant was across the street from our hotel. Large space with good ambiance, felt like an upscale family Italian restaurant. Our waiter Pedro was fantastic. He was prompt, attentive and provided excellent recommendations. He never made you feel rushed and was very personable. Excellent service. Food was very good and came out quickly. The pepperoni pizza with its combination of honey and pepper was amazing. We also enjoyed the lobster pasta dish that we ordered. Cannoli was a great finisher. Overall a great dinner and we will return when we're back in this part of town.
The food was very good. The Black truffle pizza is a must try. Quinoa and avocado salad was very delicious as well. We were in a hurry, and the service was super fast, which was very convenient for us.Kid-friendliness: They didn't have a kids menu, but there are good kids options in the main menu.

sister restaurant of fiorellos, has the same amazing thin crust pizza and a better selection of pastas. although i like fiorellos vegetables better. the dessert lemon tart was very good, had a burnt sugar on top.service was also extremely fast, which is great if you’re running to carnegie after.

We stopped in to Trattoria on a whim after seeing a Broadway show Friday night and its whimsical decorations and friendly staff made for a lovely evening. Pedro was our server and helped make our night magical! We would love to come back! ❤️
