On a busy Bleecker Street, in the heart of West Village, I walked into this typical Italian trattoria which serves exelent seafood, pasta and fresh salads. No reservations were needed.

This was such a wonderful experience - feels like a proper New York institution. The staff were amazing. I made my own error of ordering my steak too well done (totally my fault) and when I ordered an additional chicken they took the steak away and didn’t put it on the bill, even though I never complained about it. It was so kind! I have a difficult allergy and they were so respectful and accommodating. When the waiter changed and so something came which I couldn’t have they took it back, no questions asked. Even without that it would have been reasonable, but it’s a rare gem of a lovely vibe, wonderful service, takes walk ins (we came at about 7 on a Saturday and there was space) and good value in a prime spot. What a gem.

Top tier traditional leaning Italian restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and a good selection of non-typically found seafood. All while being on the low end of NYC restaurant prices.
We’ve been wanting to try this place and finally did! Pasta was tasty and seafood were cooked perfect. There were some tout groups at the restaurant.

The lobster ravioli stands out with a rich, flavorful sauce, and the seafood risotto is tomato-based, brimming with fresh shrimp, calamari, and scallops  . The mussels marinara delivers bold, authentic flavors—just enough sauce to dip bread without overpowering . Portions are generous and comforting, true to classic Northern Italian style
