Popped into Tre for the Pappardelle with sliced steak. The dish was a little too saucy for me, but the steak was on point. Service was solid, but the real highlight was the music—old school R&B all night. The spot’s small, but hey, that’s NYC for you.

Do NOT choose this place to celebrate anything. I chose this place by the reviews to celebrate with 10 friends for my birthday. The service was absolutely terrible and the attitudes were even worse. Half of my table had to wait 20 mins for their food while the other half was served AND they were serving other tables without finishing ours first! This made absolutely no sense!! They also had an issue splitting the bill for me because we had some people who don’t drink in the group. I called ahead of time and asked if separate checks would be an issue, and was assured it wouldn’t be. Well it was….and they were not happy. Finally when it was time for the bill to be dropped, they told us we had to go through the whole bill and circle everything we ordered and give them the card they wanted to charge for each thing. This was insane as I told them separating it from the beginning would be way easier, that way you just drop each check to each couple. The server then comes back over 5 mins later asking for the bill because we needed to pay because they were changing shifts. Like hello! This is gonna take us some time because you gave us all the work to do on our end. As we were going through the bill, we realized things were rung in wrong and we had extra stuff on the bill. After already spending 25 mins trying to decipher the bill, my boyfriend got up to deal with it. He quickly called me over as he was being told he was “too confrontational” and the servers didn’t want to deal with him anymore. Everyone sat at the table awkwardly just waiting for this check situation to be over with. 30/40 mins later. As someone who is a manager in hospitality, this was a huge disappointment and I won’t be back.

Actually one of the WORST dining experiences I have ever had in my 10 years of living in nyc. Came here with a group for brunch and spent three hours of my life waiting for mediocre food, dealing with subpar and even rude service. And then, at the end they over charged us. I don’t know how this place is in business with all of the excellent restaurants in this city. Go elsewhere.

I did not get the chance to visit this restaurant but I sure wont be going now! I called to cancel my reservation due to resy having complications and was treated very nasty over the phone. I was told that 35 wanted this slot and it’s not their problem. Sorry I didn't know canceling a diner reservation was life or death! Then the manager hung up, I can’t imagine how nasty the service would've been if I actually went.

What an amazing place! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and we ended up talking for hours. Great food, great new friends, and I felt like I was having a meal in my own home. I cannot wait to come back again!
Amazing hospitality from the staff who go above and beyond! Their entire menu is so amazing, especially the drinks. I loved their appetizers and pasta that me and my girl were eating off each other’s plate. The ambiance is nice and cozy, I would definitely come here again!

At last we’ve arrived in New York and it was time to indulge our tastebuds. We stumbled around the “burbs” for half an hour until our yearning for Italian took over. We landed on #treitaliano - a quaint Italian restaurant with the most lovely ambience. We were greeted by the delightful Aly who is an asset to this establishment. She’s customer focussed, knows the menu well and preempted our next order. Her recommendation of the home made gnocchi was was spot on. Her colleague Debora was also delightful and another asset to this restaurant. The meals were a good portion size filled with a depth of flavour that stayed on the palette for some time. We skipped dessert but it was tempting. Time permitting, we will return.
Notes: kid friendly but couldn’t see any high chairs. It’s New York so parking will never be great. Dietaries can be catered for is requested. The background music was set at a good level that didn’t interrupt our conversation.
