Got the pollo mechada chachapa. Really great flavors, decent size portion. The server was so nice and gave extra sauces. Will say it’s a little pricey, but hit the spot. Would definitely come back.

I love Cachapas y Más on Dyckman and Venezuelan food, but the way Tu Cachapas operates, on 178th Street, gives everything a bad name. They rarely have most things available on the menu, always get orders wrong, and are dishonest with natural juices. They mix their chinola and tamarind juice with something like pineapple (their other juice option that they probably don't sell). They could be honest with their customers and say that at least they are doing it. Whoever is in charge of this place needs a complete change of service and probably replaced.

Where do I start.. the woman at the counter taking my order with a finger in her mouth. After I place my order she goes to the back to refill sauces without washing her hands or wearing gloves.. I ordered tequenos.. the tequenos were in the paper bag with the sauces that she touched her her finger full of saliva. Those went straight to the garbage.2) they couldn’t even wrap the arepa all the way? Pure laziness.Pay attention to details and don’t do things that you wouldn’t want other people to do to your food.The arepa wasn’t even good, pork tasted old and still.
I understand if you need to raise the price… if the product stays the same place. But for you to SHRINK the food portions…. Thats not okay. Do better. 12$ is NOT worth half of a patacon.

Terrible service, the food was terrible, I ordered a queen and it didn't have any chicken, it was just lettuce in pieces with mayonnaise, I also asked to add fried cheese and they charged me extra and they gave me a small piece that even came with charcoal, it was a good piece very small Lastly, I had ordered some tequeños and they arrived cold. It's incredible, I've never had such bad food in a Venezuelan place. When I got home my stomach was poisoned and I started vomiting right after eating this food. We ordered a Cachapa which is supposed to be the specialty of the place. They bring our order to the table, but unfortunately the cachapa was full of burnt oil, we asked them to make it again and there we realized that their merchandise was old. At that time we asked for a refund and they told us that they don't refund money at that place. After insisting, I called a supervisor and they sent us our money there. Never more. I really don't recommend going through this disastrous experience.
