Ambience is not bad if they took some of the helter-skelter colored lights down from the bar it would be much more elegant but it's nice and casual pretty tables nice little garden outside. Our appetizers were really the head of the night we had to Zieke the hummus and baba ghanouj. If the peter has been home made it would've been even better but the dishes themselves were fantastic my friend had the lamb patties and absolutely loved them I had the Salton's light and I don't know how to cut the chicken so moist on the kebab we had Baklava for dessert and Turkish coffee which was delicious. We were up at surprised Sid had two stars for cost and without alcohol we ended up spending $180. I think I should've had three stars for Price
I have never been disappointed. Comfortable restaurant with delicious food and pleasant staff.
Unfortunately this restaurant has deteriorated. I was here just over 6 weeks ago and the experience was excellent. I returned for a family celebration only to be so disappointed and embarrassed by suggesting the restaurant. The service was attentive, but terrible- server spilled wine with each pour. The food was below mediocre- salad was terrible, food quality poor. This restaurant went from a high-4 to a minus-1 Not sure how they could mess up so much Don't waste your money
We enjoyed our dinner. The zucchini pancakes were quite good. Just wish there was something other than some yogurt to accompany the dish. The eggplant salad was tasty. The mixed grill was plenty for 2 people. Nice combination of lamb, beef and chicken. Service was a bit of a challenge...at times we felt forgotten...and it wasn't that busy. But I would try another time as the food was very good.
Delicious. Lighting not bright, it was perfect! Nice and quiet. I could have a conversation with my dinner partner. Service was very good.
It was the first time I ever had kunefe & it was delicious! We enjoyed out appetizer & entrees as well.
Excellent food at reasonable prices, including the wine list Service was impeccable in a great atmosphere. Highly rated and my wife and I would definitely go back again.
We always enjoy the well prepared and delicious food at this welcoming and quiet restaurant.
Cozy place, nestled on west 53rd. We loved the spinach/cheese appetizer, shepherds salad (generous portion), and manti. My husband is a vegetarian and loved the vegetable casserole. Musrat was our server- he offered excellent service and was extremely attentive! We look forward to coming back soon.
Vegetarian options: Dedicated vegetarian entree selection!
Wheelchair accessibility: Two levels, and bathroom on the main floor!

My out-of-town friends wanted to go to a Turkish restaurant, so we headed to Turkuaz in Hell’s Kitchen on a Saturday night around 7:15 PM. While the service was kind and friendly, we waited far too long for our food, especially considering the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. My friends enjoyed their lamb chops, but I found the salmon to be just okay. It came with half piece of potato and a salad —it would have been nice if they had included a scoop of rice with the dish for . For dessert, I was surprised to see Knafeh on the menu. It tasted a bit different than what I’m used to, likely due to the cheese they used, but it was still alright. Take in mind that you can only tip in cash, which I wish I had known before because I didn’t have any on me.

Without a doubt, my new favorite Turkish restaurant in NYC. Everything I had here was absolutely perfect, which is extra special for me because I grew up eating Turkish food and I tend to be very picky in this category of cuisine. Turkuaz is one of the few restaurants in the city that will actually make and stuff their grape leaves in house (you’ll definitely be able to taste the difference)! The lamb adana was also incredible! It was very well seasoned, and even the salad that came on the plate was uniquely delicious. Also special shoutout for their delicious complementary bread!
The inside is beautifully rustic, and decorated with gorgeous Turkish ornaments. My server,
Havva, was amazing as well. She knew the menu inside and out, and confidently recommended dishes based on my questions (thank you, Havva!!). The service was so good and yet they don’t expect tips here
I will definitely be back here again, and I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more highly to any fan of Turkish/Mediterranean cuisine! Thank you, Turkuaz!

The place looks like nothing from outside but dont let that stop you as the magic happens in the kitchen.
We took the sultan’s plate to share for 2 people and it was great. Tasted amazing and portions are generous.
