So long Two Boots West Village. I always liked their Mr Pink pizza and it's sad to see how many of their locations have closed (the original sit down restaurant on Ave A, Bleecker St., Grand Central and now WV.) I agree with a previous post regarding the sales tax. Sometimes they added it - sometimes not. This may have been related to their downfall. Several weeks ago this location was shuttered and seized by NY State tax authority. That can usually only be for unpaid sales tax or payroll tax. They must have addressed it properly with NYS as they were allowed to re-open, only to permanently close 2 weeks later. Their sign has been removed and a for rent poster us up in the window. I wonder why they reopen then closed again. Anyone know? The bottom line is do not f*ck with NYS on sales tax!

UPDATE: The store was closed by the IRS for several weeks for non-payment of taxes. After they opened from weeks of being shut down, I went back to give them another chance. Their pizza crust continues to have the consistency of wet cardboard. I give this place a hard pass.

Seems like the IRS shut them down, pizza wasn't that great anyways. At times they would only sell what they had there even if you asked for a plain slice pizza trying to force you to pay extra.

This is my favorite pizza spot in the neighborhood. Such a huge variety, every time Miguel is there he recommends a new slice that never seizes to amaze. With so many places to get a slice in the city, two boots stands out with Miguel and the rest of the staff's great service. The restaurant is always clean and the staff smiling. Even when there is a long line the wait is never long. If you are not against chicken on your pizza, you have to try The Bird. There is so much good stuff here, I go to the gym just to be able to eat the pizza here.

If you are looking for a pizza spot unlike all the rest in nyc you have to check out Two boots. Open late, friendly service and great specialty slices. You will not be dissapointed!

Just waited over an hour for a pizza that was finally delivered barely warm with a crust the consistency of wet cardboard. This pizza has obviously just been sitting and was not delivered promptly. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Omg such solid pizza, such delightful flavor combos, so much character, so many vegan options, so little seating. A very solid place for a quick bite but I would plan on setting up camp here because at least this locations is pretty small and has limited seating but love the vibe and the food and the price.

Very disappointed. This is my second time trying this location. First time, I got what I ordered, an extra cheese pizza. This time around Ordered an Extra cheese pizza and this is Far from an extra cheese pizza. Nothing let's me down more than an wrong order.

Tasty pizza by the slice with unique toppings. There is virtually no seating inside and it's definitely no frills. I think it's about $5 a slice but the slices are a generous size.

The best pizza I ever had! Ordered the vegan pizza and the eleven pizza. Amazing, and gluten free on top of that!

Pizza is pretty good. Even veggie available. Nice atmosphere.

Always take about an hour to deliver a small pie about half a block. Last time I went by and saw they were not at all busy inside. They mess up simple orders all the time as well. When you call they sound really unorganized and miserable. I wish someone else made their pizza style so I could get it done by a staff that cares.

The regular cheese slice of pizza is delicious. Mainly because the spice in the sauce makes it so tasty and different from other pizzerias. Normally I'm totally satisfied with my food at two boots. But today, I got burnt pizza and garlic knots. Not cool when they forget about your food and let it burn and then still give it to you instead of apologizing and doing it over fresh without burning it. No one likes burnt food. And I wasn't the only one this happened to. Employees at this two boots need to pay attention and not burn people's food. Smh.

****This review is in regards to the FiDi location**** Within an hour of eating the pizza I felt very ill. I had the veggie slice and just made my stomach turn. And too much onion also. Other friends said they felt sick afterwards also. NYC has amazing pizza. Sadly this was disappointing.

I didn't love this place BUT they had gluten free crusts which is a plus and the workers were super nice. Service was fast and the atmosphere was cute.
