Simon is the best!! Great bartender and super friendly. One of those best Negronis I’ve ever had and he was very polite to my dog
First time into this quaint but bustling Irish bar. I thought I might have a hard time getting decent service as there was plenty of seemingly regulars there. I’m happy to report the exact opposite. Our bartender Simon was incredibly attentive throughout the entire night. I truly felt like Simon took his time and gave me and my group an absolutely unique experience. 10/10 do recommend

I randomly walked into this bar on a Sunday night during my trip to New York and I had the luck to get Simon as a bartender. I can’t say enough about his professionalism. He is extremely knowledgeable about his craft and the culture that surrounds it. He tried to help me with other recommendations around NYC but after receiving this level of top notch service I can’t imagine visiting anywhere else

Totally fine if it’s crowded, BUT DONT HAVE 2 BARTENDERS FOR THE WHOLE BAR. I swear they do it on purpose. Don’t waste your time here. Not fun enough to wait 30 mins at a bar to even See a bartender. Can’t stress this enough.
My friend and I were at Ulysses Bar tonight around 9:30 PM when something very concerning happened. My friend was in the restroom when a security guard came inside and accused him of using drugs. The guard said he “saw it on the cameras.” If there are cameras in the restroom, that raises serious privacy concerns.
While still in the restroom, the security guard struck my friend in the jaw, which caused a cut and visible bleeding. After that, the guard removed him from the bar while he was injured.
I am sharing this so people are aware, and in hopes that management looks into this incident seriously. No one should be physically confronted in a restroom, especially without evidence or reason.

Stopped into Ulysses while in Manhattan, really cool old school bar with a great atmosphere. It was pretty busy, so it took a little while to get a drink, but the vibe made up for it. Definitely a solid spot to check out if you’re in the area.

Outdoor dining and drinks on Stone Street is a great experience, but Ulysses indoor space is expansive with lots of books and craniea. Great drinks and great food.

I live across the street and have been coming here about twice a week with my small service dog. Unfortunately, one bartender named Simon repeatedly refuses to let me sit with my dog, even after I explained that she’s a service animal. He also asked what kind of service she provides, which is not an appropriate or legal question to ask. It’s disappointing because I’ve always liked this place and supported it regularly, but this kind of treatment makes me feel very unwelcome. I hope management addresses this issue and educates the staff about service dog laws.

This restaurant is nice. This restaurant serves fresh meals at prices everyone can afford. The staff knows their stuff. Welcoming service people, great meals, and fun surroundings! Absolutely satisfying!

I don’t recommend this place at all. The bartender working on Sunday was completely drunk — he was drinking a Guinness right in front of us, and he was so wasted that the beer was literally spilling out of his mouth. He was even offering us free drinks, and we told him it wasn’t appropriate, especially given his condition. Later, one of our friends arrived and the bartender disrespected him for no reason. To make things worse, he took our beers away and refused to charge for one that my friend couldn’t even finish because he left upset after being disrespected.
I’m honestly very disappointed — terrible service and an embarrassing situation. The bartender on Sundays is a total drunk. I would never go back to this place.

Huge Irish pub with live music. Located on one of the oldest streets in low Manhattan. Typical menu. Food was OK. Service was friendly but very slow. Atmosphere and seating are nice.
