I am not a big review writer. I got my food and in one of my rolls I noticed a hard small pellet that appeared to be rat poop. I looked up what that looks like online and to my dismay it was spot on to what I was staring at in my roll. Very disappointing, gross and sad that this happened and the restaurant’s hygiene needs to be fixed.

We were greeted by a young woman who clearly did not want to work or serve us at all. No effort on his part and we waited....We almost left. The food is certainly very good but it is quite expensive for this type of restaurant. A place undoubtedly reserved for the bourgeois-bohemian regulars of the neighborhood but frankly we were received like dogs. Nothing to do with the customary kindness everywhere we went in NYC.

Great little spot! I love a lunch deal, and they've got some great options here. I went with the double roll (unagi and cucumber, and one tempura sweet potato) with miso, salad, and I tried to order salmon sashimi but accidentally ordered a singular salmon nigiri. However the salmon was delicious so I'll have to attempt that again sometime. Those rolls are damn good too. Great quality, well priced. Cute space too- and the people inside were delightful. Plus my order was ready early- great lunch! Hit the spot.

Most disgusting sushi ever. The service was horrible. My friend and I got yelled at by the sushi chef and the waiter. The salmon smelled extremely fishy and mushy. Do not go. Unless you want food poisoning. Don’t go!
Update to owners response: you can be an experienced sushi chef but raw fish is not the only thing that spoils. Imitation crab, or anything for that matter, goes bad. Once again your disrespect against a client who was served foul crab an avocado says everything about this restaurant.

I dined here the other day. The sushi was inedible the second I put it in my mouth. Fishy, mushy, and not fresh. I’m not a confrontational person so I normally would just suck it up but it was truly inedible and I did not know what to do. I politely told the waitress and she proceeded to scold me asking me if I have ever eaten sushi before. Honestly I wasn’t looking to receive money back or a new order I just wanted to let them know and I feel at a truly reputable establishment they would try their best to make their customer appreciated and heard. This establishment did not. I got the 2 roll meal special and the waitress told me she would only switch one of my rolls (even though both were inedible). I asked for the California roll because I figured it would be pre packaged and not fishy. However it managed to taste even worst than the last roll. It smelled awful and the avocado had a very old taste and was not the correct green. I was at a. Loss at this point so I asked for the check and let them know that they might be having an off day because all the rolls were inedible. The waitress and sushi chef proceeded to yell at me and say that I disrespected them and gaslit me. They forcibly made me pay for my $30 meal even though I didn’t eat a single roll. for me it was not about the food , but about the way they treated me. Had they respected a customer and apologized or tried to work without rather than maintaining their attitude and not being able to take criticism I would not be writing this review. What an awful truly awful experience. It is a treat to go out to eat in this economy and how awful was this.
