one flight up and you've entered a perfect jewel spot for wallflowers drinkers that still want to enjoy a gay ol time without the drama from other new gay bars. Live piano players...some give hilarious ad-libbing, others belt out awesome broadway and movie musical numbers. Great small venue
to bring friends or by yourself. also gotta check out their private outdoor patio in the back with a famous skyscraper towering over you(perfect moment for groupie or selfie shots) -open to all patrons, a perfect space to rent for your party

Came at 3:00am and was treated with respect and even got a song request honored. Bar was super clean and drinks were spot on. Super happy thank you to John for taking care of me and my partner!!! Will come here again!! Got a captain Morgan and rum. Felt safe and spot is inclusive! (*I only came here for drinks.)

As someone (and husband) who regularly visits the city, it’s hard to find a down to earth gay bar. Uncle Charlie’s is just that. We were welcomed in like we have always been regulars. The bartenders and cocktails are simply amazing.

Juan Carlos: the true heart of Uncle Charlie’s
I could tell you about Uncle Charlie’s charming atmosphere, the live piano, or the elegant and relaxed vibe of the place… but none of that would be the same without Juan Carlos behind the bar.
Juan Carlos isn’t just a bartender; he’s a master of hospitality. From the very first greeting, he makes you feel right at home with warmth and infectious energy. His remarkable memory for each customer's preferences, his talent for crafting custom cocktails, and his skill in reading the room make him a true star.
I’ve visited many bars, but few have someone like Juan Carlos – professional, attentive, authentic, with a charisma that elevates the entire experience. If you go to Uncle Charlie’s, don’t just come for the music—come for him. I guarantee you’ll end up staying longer than you planned, simply because of the way he makes you feel.
Thank you, Juan Carlos, for making every visit special. You’re the reason I’ll always come back.

Uncle Charlie's is a fun place to have drinks and catch up with friends, while being entertained by a pianist/singer that rotates nightly. You can even request a song to be played, or sing a song with the pianist.
All the staff are lovely and treat every customer with care!
I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a fun, casual, live music atmosphere.

A wonderful and fun place. Very welcoming. The drinks were great. The artists/ patrons singing were really fun. No, Liza Minnelli was not there, and neither was Elton John but the music I heard surely lifted me up.

Always a beloved spot for LGBT and straight ppl like us. Fun karaoke with piano singer. Strong cocktail with reasonable price. Small backyard for smoking while looking up to skyscrapers

Management is rude and abrasive. Came with a group of people to celebrate an engagement- half of the group does not drink due to religious reasons and/or addiction running in the family but we wanted to celebrate our close friend and enjoy her favorite music. We were literally kicked out for not ordering drinks because “he needs to make money.” Enjoyed the vibe and would have liked to stay but would suggest taking business elsewhere where people are more respectful and empathetic.
