We were disappointed. Came here due a lot of good reviews but too loud service people, yelling to each other like there we’re no customers. Food was very good jist soup ve ordered was extremely small portion for what they asked for. Next time we go somewhere else.

Uncle Lou is such a gem! The food is delicious, authentic, and full of flavor — you can tell everything’s made with care. The portions are generous, the service is quick, and the staff are super welcoming. The place has a fun, lively vibe that makes you feel right at home. Perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family — I’ll definitely be back! 🥢🍚✨

Great food but if you're looking for traditional dim sum, this isn't the spot. Everything was tasty and delicious though.

Phenomenal food. Great environment. Hands down the best honey walnut prawns I’ve had and I worked at a dim sum restaurant in LA for 3+ years

The food and the portion size was incredible! We went for lunch and they started us off immediately with a pot of hot green tea. I ordered some fresh veggie spring rolls, which were so hot and tasteful! My wife got the sweet and sour chicken with white rice, while I got the sweet and sour fried pork belly with white rice. The pork belly was crispy and plump; each bite was a mouthful and so delicious! The chicken was so juicy and sweet! The rice was the perfect amount, and cooked to perfection. I also got a Tsingtau imported lager, which tied off the meal. The portions were so big; usually it’s not issue for us to finish off our food, but at the end, we just couldn’t go on. Super friendly staff, who got our table ready lightning quick and made sure we were satisfied with everything they brought out!

I’ve been here 3 times and the first 2 times was great. Coming here I knew there was a wait, so that was not an issue since the previous hostesses were direct and seem to be trying their best to accomodate everyone. This review is for the bad attitude of the hostess we had tonight. She put our name down and told us 20mins for a table of 3. When it was 30mins + we came to ask nicely about the table, she got irritated and told my partner to “wait over there”(like we are bothering her). We came at 6pm and did not get seated until 7:10pm. We could have made a more informed decision if she told us directly like the previous hostesses and not say 20mins when it was more like 70mins.

The food is good, 4/5 stars for cantonese cusine. The servers are great too, always nice and efficient.

Unfortunately I don’t think we will be back because of what we experienced at the beginning with the host. (Not all hosts, just the one from yesterday).

This spot never disappoints when I bring guests. All I can say is YUMMMM! I was pleased with this restaurant. I valued how the workers demonstrated both courtesy and vigilance. Hope you discover something delicious.

Uncle Lou has is one best Contonese cuisine in NYC. The dishes have deep and conplex flavors, many pair very well with white rice. Both Tourists and locals come here, which makes it very busy. My wife and I opt to eat at the bar. We had their garlic chicken, which is always very juicy and loaded with fry garlic. We alway look for their fresh seafood options for the day. This day was clams in black bean, they gave so much clams. Really is a must visit

When you enter a Chinese restaurant and most costumers speak Cantonese you know you are in the right spot.

Uncle Lou’s is an absolute gem! If you’re craving authentic Cantonese cuisine, this is the place to go. The menu is packed with traditional dishes that are hard to find done this well anywhere else.

The garlic crispy chicken was tender and flavorful, the pork belly dish had that perfect melt-in-your-mouth layers, and the fried rice brought back all the comforting flavors of classic Cantonese home cooking. Don’t miss the salt & pepper seafood—it’s seasoned to perfection and fried just right. Every dish tastes fresh, balanced, and true to tradition.

On top of the incredible food, the service is warm and welcoming. The staff make you feel like family, and they’re happy to explain the dishes if you’re not familiar. The atmosphere is lively yet cozy, making it a perfect spot for both family dinners and casual nights out with friends.

Made a reservation for 8pm. It’s 8:25 and they’re saying maybe ready in 20 minutes. Ridiculous

We had our mini wedding reception there they and they went above and beyond. Delicious food and exceptional service! They accommodated my large party, which included several picky eaters. They even let us bring our own cake and provided cake knives and paper plates. We all left happy and fed. The special food call-outs were the ginger fried rice, orange beef, crispy tofu, and their chicken and broccoli. Could not recommend highly enough.

A busy restaurant. Go in, wait get your table, order, and leave - all can be done within 30mins to an hour. Which is pretty fast in my opinion. The food here was good, came out super quick and hot and there is a lot of people in the restaurant. Honestly, the food does speak for itself with very good flavors and freshness (the chicken at least). Beside it being incredibly loud - I would come again.
