Really not fond of places where you served overpriced dishes, and still walk away hungry. We got the winter salad thinking it would be a hearty salad and was just a few pieces of orange topped with sliced almonds. We also tried a couple of appetizers and some mains and the pasta was decent, but again really tiny portion for the price so not filling and one of the root vegetable mains just tasted of pepper and nothing else. We spent over $200 without any liquor on a couple of apps and a couple of mains which did not seem worth the price and we all walked away hungry. Would not visit again.
The service, the creativity, the preparation, and presentation are all part of an incredible dinning experience. Thank you

Kind of meh. I thought I was going to visit this iconic 40-year NY staple and what I found was just a regular place where you can have OK food. I wasn’t blown away, I wasn’t completely disappointed either. It’s just not memorable in my opinion, nothing really stood out, nor the food or the service or the atmosphere, so don’t think I will be coming back.

I am a good cook, so when I eat out I want good food. This place is all of it. Service, food, location, people watching, and atmosphere. An institution indeed. Staff are friendly. Will return again.

Food was fine. Ordered the Caesar which I think could have been really interesting but I found it a bit too salty and bitter. Also ordered the pork chop which also tasted burnt and overly salted.
Great service and great atmosphere.

Probably the best meal in my time in NY over five weeks. The dishes all hit the spot. They're not afraid of seasoning and salt and each dish (especially the pork chop!) was umami rich and deeply satisfying. Duck liver profiteroles started the meal fantastically. The new bar space at the front is perfect for dining and gives more atmosphere from the buzz of the bar space. Wine and cocktails hit the spot too.
Thanks team USC. Really sensational work ❤️
