Got a deal buy 1 get 1 on uber
I really appreciate for all the business kindness.

Over all was average sushi place
I wish sushi rice has more seasoning.
Also, the rice was too much.

We got sushi delivered. It was so good we couldn’t believe it. The avo and salmon rolls were outstanding. Our new favorite.

Good takeout sushi place. I think now they are just doing to-go sushi, not omakase but I could be wrong. Good fish and service for their 2 for 1 rolls for $14. I had two huge roles; tuna cucumber & spicy tuna. Good fish and quality miso soup as well!

A Happy Accident Turned One of Our Favorite Omakase Experiences

My boyfriend and I were exploring the Lower East Side on our NYC trip when he mentioned craving yakitori. He mis-spoke and asked me to find an izakaya, which honestly made me excited—he loves skewers, I love sushi, and I thought maybe we’d get the best of both worlds. We headed toward an izakaya spot, but on the way there, we passed by a little omakase place called Unique Omakase. I immediately got curious (and honestly started salivating thinking about what could be inside).

We sat down at the izakaya, glanced at the menu, and just knew it wasn’t the move. It felt more like a “vibes” place than a food-forward spot, and we were genuinely craving something delicious. So we both agreed—without hesitation—to leave and go back to Unique Omakase. Best decision ever.

It was already 9 PM (they close at 10), but the chefs were kind enough to welcome us in. They offered a 10-piece or 16-piece omakase, and while we were hungry, we started with 10 just to feel it out. The decor wasn’t your typical minimalist omakase vibe, but that actually made it feel warmer—like we’d just stumbled upon something special.

Our chef was Cantonese and trained in Japan, and talking to him felt like chatting with family. He shared stories about his training, his family, and even his daughter—it was so genuine and heartfelt. They offered us welcome sake, and when I mentioned I don’t drink much, they brought out plum wine instead, which was soft, fragrant, and just right. They even handed us extra napkins for our fingers—simple, thoughtful touches that made all the difference.

As for the food—wow. Every piece was beautifully balanced. The chef’s creativity came through, but never in a way that overpowered the natural flavor of the fish. I’ve been to omakase spots that get too experimental and lose the essence of the dish. Not here. It was innovative and elevated, but still respectful of the ingredients.

We ended up ordering more pieces and left full, happy, and already talking about how we want to come back every time we’re in NYC. I’ve already been recommending this spot to friends and family. It’s rare to find a place that makes you feel so welcomed and also nails the food. Truly one of our favorite omakase experiences to date.

Food was alright. Average level for omakase that’s priced around $150. Fish cuts on nigiri was thick. Appetizers are a little bit over seasoned. Good fish selection. The foie gras on A5 wagyu was bland. The room temperature was very low my wife caught cold right after.

This may not offer the most upscale environment compared to other omakase spots in the city, but the value, service, and experience are outstanding. Every course was well-seasoned and truly unique, with highlights included the Shirako stew, monkfish liver, Kanpachi, Otoro, Hotate, Uni, and more. We visited during their anniversary promo, which included free sake and additional nigiri course at the end, making an already fantastic meal even better in terms of value.

This place came highly recommended by a close friend and we gave it a shot. Though we weren’t blown away, but as first time trying omakase, this place was fantastic and set the bar very high! Every course was fresh and uniquely tasting. Chef was engaging and very conversational. The dinning environment was clean, comfortable and intimate. In addition to the set course, we were given unlimited orders of four different courses that weren’t on the set! Also the unlimited sale that never seen an empty glass. Needless to say, we walked out of the restaurant happy, satisfied, and full. Would definitely come again in the near future!

We've been coming here almost once a month--sometimes every week. Not only the food is beyond amazing, we love the hospitality of the chefs. They always make us feel welcomed, taken care of and just like an old friend. I can tell from the crowd they all share the same sentiment as many of them are returning clients/familiar faces. But yes the food--that umami, presentation, unique texture and flavor profile--just hits home.

"Unique" is a bit of a misnomer. More like "less commonplace than all the other boring Edomae omakase spots". See also: Sushi chef is Chinese. Is that unique?

Anyway, this is one of the more affordable options in the city for 15 courses ngiri and small apps. $85 will nab you some fun dishes like shrimp in shell with uni and seasoned seaweed.

But the main reason to come here? Your birthday. We did a group birthday dinner here (3 out of 4 of us had May birthdays) and were surprised with not one but two generous dishes of birthday sashimi and rice--for free! And those were some pretty generous cuts of salmon, tuna and yellowtail.

Me like free.
