I have mixed opinions about this restaurant. Our appetizers were good. We ordered the crispy beef which was a sweet sticky dish, not a savory, which surprised me. The XLB was tasty although the skin was thick. And the popcorn shrimp was also sweet and sticky and saucy, not like other popcorn shrimps I've had. Garlic cucumbers were good. For main dishes We ordered Peking duck which was terrible, dry, grey, cold, and overcooked. Usually it's served after the apps and before the main dishes but it came out last and we were very very disappointed. Someone commented that it tasted like goose, not duck. HK noodles, chow fun, kung pao chicken, were good. Mapobtofu was the best dish we ordered. The service was super slow. I will not go back. I was looking for a more authentic experience and this resto missed the mark. I went for Chinese New Year and will not be returning. Others gave it a very good review, that's why I chose it but I did not like it and was embarrassed that I took my guests there.
If you would like to try to eat here, I would suggest setting an earlier reservation because I had my reservation for 10pm And once we received it, we were only able to order drinks and appetizers, and by the time the waiter came back for us to order entrées. The kitchen was supposedly closing in five minutes, and we didn't get to order any entrées. Also, there was a conflict between servers that happened in front of us customers, and it was unprofessional. When it comes to a quality of food and beverages the passionfruit cocktails we had were great and the appetizers were good. We just really wish that we would've been able to try the entrées. I would suggest if the kitchen closes at 10:30 that they stopped taking reservations at 9/9:30 pm to the customers have enough time to settle in order their appetizers and entrées did not feel rushed
I'm not one to write a review and I do feel bad sharing this but I 've been twice - once about a year ago and once on Valentines day. Both times I had a reservations. The first time it was not a holiday, but it took the staff about 30 min after our res to seat us. Once they did the service and food was exceptional. So much so that my boyfriend and I decided to make it the first restaurant we ever repeated in the city in our 2 year relationship and go for Valentines day. Terrible decision. I originally had a 8PM reservation which we were able to move up via Open Table app to 7:30PM. We got there a little early and were welcomed by about 30 people in the front entrance waiting to be seated - some since 6:45PM. The host claimed to be understaffed, but like I said we had experienced this before a year ago so I'm not so sure. We ended up leaving and finding somewhere else to eat for the night, which we were so bummed about because the food really was to die for. I really hope they figure these things out because this definitely is somewhere I'd love to see thrive.
Had a reservation for 7pm on Valentine's Day. Didn't even get checked in until 7:20 because of the line to check in, and at 7:30 there were still people with 6:45pm reservations waiting to be sat. We left. Don't come here
This was our first visit. The food was wonderful. Extensive menu. And the room was spacious and welcoming.
Second time we've been and gotten the same horrible server. The first time was over the holidays so we thought perhaps he was overwhelmed. Tonight there was just us and 3 other tables. He forgot several items and when asked about the missing items he blamed other employees which was very strange. Only refilled water when specifically asked. We won't be back a third time.
Made a reservation on opentable and the restaurant was closed. We verified that I had made it for the correct time and the worker inside had no idea why the restaurant was taking reservations.
I love it here! The food is always really yummy and fresh. Nice upscale but not uptight atmosphere, friendly staff. Lots of vegan options too, I love the veggie spring rolls, dumplings, and lo mein :) They also made me a really delicious lychee mocktail

I was pleasantly surprised regarding the restaurant the service and the food. Everything was amazing. I was wondering why I didn't know about this place since I've lived in the neighborhood for about eight years, and I was told that it had shut down and then it reopened and had some construction, but I am glad it is open because the food is amazing and it is a place I will be returning back to
Amazing food!

Loved finding this place! The food was incredible and the service was so amazing :) the servers were so kind and and atmosphere was dark and moody and romantic! My friend and I sat in the lower area of the restaurant, they have karaoke which is so fun, and they really made sure to make my friend and I as comfortable as possible for her birthday :) the wonton soup was my favorite and the drinks are great too! I highly recommend if it’s your birthday to be in the lower area under the restaurant because of the karaoke, but overall I had a great time and I’d definitely come again to try more food!

Nice clean restaurant with some awesome food! Service as expected and a live jazz performance. Making a Saturday night reservation made life easy with no wait. Definitely recommend the pork dumplings, scallion pancakes, roast pork buns, and the lo mein! Food held up well as leftovers, too.

So the positive: nice vibe, good service and drinks are great.
But in the end you go to a restaurant for the food - and that was horrible. Dishes are basic, while an upscale restaurant at this price level normally offers something special. That makes it even more surprising that even these basic dishes are executed so poorly. Most restaurants in Chinatown do a better job and at half the price. Worse yet, we felt sick after eating the salmon. Guess the fact the sushi station was a dump with leaked water everywhere should have been a warning.
