All I have to say about Leitao is that the food and ambiance here makes me want to plan a visit to Portugal. Staff were polite and accommodating and I must say the Passionfruit Margarita is the one to get, they actually cut and place an actual piece of passionfruit as a garnish. Abrigado!

Everything I had was phenomenal!!! Some of the best food I've had in awhile! Great vibes and service was quick even though they were packed inside and out. I had the porco preto, polo and a glass of "visconde de borba garraferia alentejo"

Really delicious food! The Porco Preto was fall-off-the-bone with nice, crisp exterior containing juicy meat bites. The Arroz de Marisco was so flavorful and full of seafood. Great spot for date night. Just don't get the small table by the kitchen. You might get bumped quite a bit which isn't ideal.

My friends and I came here about a month ago for dinner (when it was pouring out). At first, we were quoted about a 45 minute wait for a table, but then one of the lovely front of house staff said that there were three seats at the bar if we wanted them. We promptly took our seats at the bar and the bartender was excellent. The ambiance was great for catching up with friends or for a date night and had just the right amount of sexiness and a cool vibe. We ordered a few drinks and entrees. For food, we ordered the shishito peppers, the steak, the shrimp and the pork ribs. My friends who are both meat eaters said the ribs were delicious and thought the steak was good as well. I really enjoyed the shrimp and the peppers. My only gripe is that towards the end of the night, around 11pm, a large group of guys came in and just started standing around the bar and were a little obnoxious. Besides that, my friends and I had a great time and a wonderful meal here and I would definitely come back again!

Crowded and popular, pricey but very good tasting food. Wish I had time to try them all especially the piri piri chicken. The octopus and cod fish were very very good. The passion fruit drink was way too tart even with rum in it...too bad they didnt have any cachaça...yea yea this is a Portuguese restaurant not Brazilian...

If I could give this place more stars I would. We had the bolinhos de bacalhau, the camarão ao alho, the amêijoas em caldeirada, and the prego no pao. Everything was incredible, and the bread they provided to dip in the sauces really made the entire meal. Will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu!

Super bon restau, la nourriture était excellente et les serveurs géniaux! On avait l’impression d’être au Portugal pendant le temps du repas… et c’est un avis d’une vraie portugaise! Hésitez pas à prendre o arroz de marisco, the lamb or bife a cerveija

Obviously, all Asian are discriminated and seated down stairs. Though food is good, management’s mentality needs improvement.

Went to Leitao on a raining weekday around 7pm. I was a bit worried because I reserved an outdoor space but luckily the seating area was lovely with a roof and heater. The place wasn't packed when we arrived but by 8pm the whole outdoor space and indoor space was full, with people waiting in line. Always a good sign to see a restaurant bustling with a crowd. The menu at Leitao is a testament to the rich tapestry of Portuguese flavors, showcasing mostly traditional dishes. I have seen and leant about Portuguese food on TV and internet but this is the first time trying it. Since I don't really have a reference point, will only share my personal view. We ordered the following dishes: - Bacalhau com Broa (Norweigian dry salted cod) (3.5/5): we got very different take on this dish from our great. One friend loves salted fish and he absolutely loved this dish. For me it's a bit strange I have to say. I enjoyed the rather firm texture of the fish, but couldn't say I do for the "stinky" taste. - Camarao ao Alho (Ecuadorian shrimp) (4.5/5): A very solid shrimp dish. The size of shrimp was huge, and the garlic in the sauce was fragrant. The bread (not sure it's for this dish or for the table) was the star. - We also got an octopus appetizer and unfortunately I really couldn't remember the name of it, and it seems like the dish was taken down from the menu as well. - Piri Piri Chicken (3.5/5) - Chicken was tender but it couldn't tell what's too special about it. - Cordeiro no Forno (Lamb with potatoes) (4/5) - Lamb was also very tender. Feels like the lamb needs a bit of heat to render the fat, but again, it's really up to the individual's preference. - Arroz de Marisco (seafood rice) (4/5) - the seafood was fresh, and rice was al dente, and perhaps a bit too al dente for my taste. Personally prefer slightly more cooked rice to allow more absorbance of the seafood taste. - Pasteis de Nata (5/5) - This was a perfect custard tart. The custard is light and not too sweet, while the crust was warm and crispy. A must try. Overall the food was decent and I enjoyed my dinner, but to be honest I didn't really experienced a "wow" factor from any of the dishes. However, I wouldn't conclude their food is not great, again, it's just my personal take on this one. The service was excellent. Our server was incredibly tentative and friendly. We did have a lovely time. I would like to try different set of dishes next time and explore more Portuguese cuisine, and hopefully I can give out a more objective review.

The service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. However, the same can’t be said for the food. Honestly pretty surprised by the amount of positive reviews.I ordered the Francesinha which was soggy and generally tasted like high end cafeteria food. My girlfriend ordered the Piri Piri and I am not exaggerating when I say it was the most dry chicken she or I have ever tried. The Salad de Polvo was actually pretty good though.
