fresh, large portions, absolutely fair prices! the service is extremely prompt. I also like how the sauces are present but not overpowering.

So it's a tiny place with next to no space to eat which is fine. You don't get to see anyone prep your food like other poke places which I didn't love but whatever. The price is high even for NYC which I don't love.
Now the real reason I'm giving 2 stars. My poke bowl was super disappointing. The brown rice in my bowl was like hard and undercooked. It didn't taste bad persay but not bad for 25 buck I need it to be delicious and cheaper poke from a different poke joint on 53rd street by the me of I think red poke is cheaper and miles better.
So tldr overpriced underwhelming poke do not recommend at all
(maybe white rice is better but other places have good brown rice and one poke bowl with brown rice a week is like my only real carbs for the week and it sucks for it to not be delicious 😑)

Had high hopes for this poke spot, poke was very bland not much sauce options, the spicy mayo was very much mayo-eyy you can’t see them assembling the bowl which was inconvenient because she messed up our order, if the spot had a regular lay out I could’ve easily corrected her.

When Uptown Poke was good, they were REALLY good. I’m talking about the best poke bowls in the city and I mean that. Back in 2021-2022 the food was incredible. Some of the freshest fruit I’ve ever had. The portions were fabulous and the toppings were excellent. Also the sauce selection tied it all together perfectly. However, as of recently the quality has gone downhill which is a shame. The fish is lacking in flavor and color. The toppings are decent but the fish is has lost its high quality and therefore ruins the entire experience as a whole. I still love Uptown Poke and will continue to be a customer because I’ve seen the potential and when it’s good, it’s REALLY good. I’m writing this message in hopes that my efforts will bring back the same restaurant I know and love
Amazing poke!

The fish is always fresh and the food is consistently delicious. Folks who make the food are always lovely people. The salmon sunrise is always my go-to and it’s delicious.
