I have visited twice already. I highly recommend this place.
If you’re going to try legit edomae style sushi in NYC, seek out chef Hideo. One of the best sushi restaurants in NYC
Exceptional omakase that feels very special and private. Expensive but still very good. Hope to be back soon.
Chef Hideo is one of a few sushi chefs who works with traditional “basic” techniques. It might be called “basic”, but it is an absolute taste explosion in a mouth.
Even after traveling to Japan, we had such an incredible experience with Chef Hideo that we will be coming back.
Chef is very humble but he has been featured in many publications and owned michelin stars. It is however the least important thing for him on his path of bringing his customers the utmost delight.
Truly, an exceptional sushi place.
AMAZING!

Hidden gem Japanese restaurant right in the heart of Chelsea. Found by chance on Resy last night, and so happy I did. Excellent quality ingredients, very friendly and attentive service. Highly recommend! ??

When we ate here in Feb 2023, they told us upon arrival that they ONLY serve omakase now. The price is $198 for one 16 piece omakase.
Many of the pieces were delicious and quite special, but there were a few that I was not adventurous enough to enjoy (raw baby eels with dipping sauce). The meal came with miso soup and a mediocre dessert. Overall this meal felt overpriced and not that enjoyable. We wouldn't go back.

Always fresh and delicious sushi. The takowasabi and nigiri are the best things on the menu. Courteous, unobtrusive staff who radiate kindness. I highly recommend!

Service was bad: waitress came over every 30 seconds asking if we are ready to order as we just sat down. She didn’t help and was simply annoyed doing her job. Rude. There is no atmosphere. It’s very basic and a bit hot.
