I’ve been to Uva 2-3 times now and each time I am blown away by how incredible it is to dine here. The second you step off the sidewalk and into the restaurant you’re greeted by some of the most professional hostess’ in the city. The drinks are always great, their wine recommendations never miss, and at no point in time have I ever thought to myself “where is my waiter?” The basement dining event area is perfectly decorated to make you feel as if you’re in Italy.

The truffle ricotta gnocchi was exceptional! Pillowy soft with a perfectly balanced truffle aroma and a delicate richness from the ricotta. Every bite felt indulgent yet beautifully crafted.
It does get noisy when full, and the tables are set close together, which can make the space feel a bit crowded. A true hidden gem in NYC that’s worth revisiting for the gnocchi alone. ✨

I came to Uva late at night around 11 p.m. with a few friends, and even though the kitchen was about to close in ten minutes, the staff still welcomed us and let us order. The service was excellent, super attentive and friendly.
The food was fresh and really good, and I found the prices to be very reasonable. The ambience was cozy and inviting, and since it’s almost Halloween, their decorations definitely added to the vibe.
