The shrimp in the red curry were bad. They should not have been served. I didn't have time to complain; I was seeing a show afterward. Prices were very reasonable, especially for NYC.

still thinking about this months later, some of the best thai that i’ve ever had, the 10 dollar martinis for happy hr were the best. the red curry is definitely on the spicy side but nonetheless exceptional. best crab rangoons ive ever had as well.

We had a very good experience at this Thai restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The menu offers a great variety of classic Thai dishes, and everything I tried was flavorful and well prepared. I recommend Pineapple rice and Dessert.

This is a much more traditional food experience, but still very good. The front bar and especially the bartender are fantastic! He really helped make our experience memorable and fun! Great vibe to the whole place.

The only reason I’m giving a three-star review is because of the manager, who has always been wonderful and a long-time part of Viv Bar. Unfortunately, tonight’s experience was extremely disappointing. My best friend and I have been loyal customers for nearly a decade, and we were honestly shocked by the treatment we received from the bartender.
We were ignored the entire night—no check-ins, no offer for another round, not even a simple acknowledgment. Every time we tried to get his attention, he brushed us off and continued flirting with girls at the bar. It felt disrespectful and completely unlike the service we’ve always known here.
We’ve always loved Tobi and the other bartenders who were consistently warm, attentive, and fun. We’ve hosted parties here and have supported this place for years, which makes this decline in service especially disappointing.
To be honest, if this bartender continues working—or continues treating customers this way—we won’t feel comfortable returning. We’ve spent a lot here over the years, and this experience does not reflect the Viv Bar we’ve known and loved.
