I needed to share a quick review about this amazing experience I had with friends.
From the moment I called to make the reservation, Catherine made me comfortable with knowing my accommodations were set.
Upon arrival, Jordan, the hostess, was so hospitable to me and my group of eight. We enjoyed a couple of drinks at the main bar until everyone arrived and then were escorted to our table on the rooftop.
From the selection of wine to the multiple courses enjoyed, the food, service, and ambiance were absolutely amazing. Who would have thought I would have enjoyed the best sushi ever at an Italian restaurant ?
Overall, it was a perfect night. I will be back again soon for a date night with the wife!

Great experience. Appetizers were delicious Wine on the menu was very expensive We had to ask for cheaper wine which was available upon request. “ the cheaper “ wine in the hundreds was actually very good .
While walking in the hostess or he/she Was extremely rude. Would not help to accommodate three women to sit but helped sit gentleman behind us . The food made up for the bad service , Fun place for happy hour, but the hostess needs manners .

We've been to Valbella a couple of times before but this was our first time at their new location. The restaurant is lovely & we were seated right away. However, we were seated in a strange area situated on the other side of the back wall of the bar. We noticed how crazy loud it was so hoped it might be better back there but it was not! Though we were one of the first tables to be sat in that area, the noise from the other side of the wall as well as the beautiful, outdoor terrace where there was a private party of some sort was ridiculously loud. It probably didn't help that the door leading to the terrace was propped open, which created another issue where the wind from outside swept through our area the entire evening such that I was afraid staff might trip over our billowing tablecloth. I was fairly uncomfortably cold but didn't say anything to staff because they were so busy running in & out of the terrace area clearing glassware, bringing more food, etc for party & with the door closed it would have been quite difficult for them to move freely. However, I was also feared one of them was going to bang into my husband's arm as they flew through & send glassware crashing to the ground. I had him shift over after they bumped his arm once while carrying a tray. The food, as always, was wonderful! We shared the Panzanella salad to start followed by sharing the Bucatini All' Amatriciana and the Scaloppine Martini (veal in a white wine sauce) and enjoyed everything. They have a nice wine list, which we happily indulged in. As the other tables around us were seated, the noise level only grew. It was a great meal but I'm not sure we'll be rushing back when in town. There's lots of amazing Italian food in NYC! If we'd been in the beautiful, main dining room we may have enjoyed it more just because the view would have been better but... oh well! Now we know!
Our experience at Valbella was UNREAL. From walking in the door to leaving hours later, there wasn't a single second that wasn't perfect. Atmosphere, Service and Food were all IMPECCIBLE. Especially our server, Arben. Arben made the whole experience so incredible with great suggestions, friendly conversation and even taking our picture so we can cherish it forever. We've been searching for somewhere to call "our place" and I think we just found it!! THANK YOU Valbella team!

I had a business dinner and when they called to confirm my reservation I just asked for the quietest and most cozy spot. They hooked us up with a private room. Then proceeded to provide the best service and most incredible food. They truly took care of us on every level. Highly recommend it.
As always, ValBella never disappoints. From the friendly receptionist at the front door to the maitre d and servers. Everyone was great. Now on to the food that was simply amazing. Thanks!

The most amazing restaurant! The wine list is phenomenal, and the food is always outstanding. Every dish that we ordered was delicious. Service is always incredible!! Our absolute favorite restaurant to go to in NYC!!!
Food was food (not great, limited vegetarian options). Despite being semi-outdoors it was quite loud. Service was excellent. The principal and important negative was the absurd wine list. WAY too expensive. They no doubt were after their Wine Spectator designation and have an impressive collection. But the prices are far above a restaurant of this caliber and they lack any wines at the lower and mid range price levels. For an accomplished sommelier, it is a simple task to find such gems of wine that aren't so expensive. They are lazy and greedy.
Tuna steak 11/10. Incredible. Super light meal. Yet it’s still steak!
Short rip ravioli 8/10 savory and delicious
Volcano role 10/10
Tokyo roll 9/10
Food was good. Service is hit or miss. There is one server who is extremely pretentious and rude. Noise level is just way too loud. They have a cigar corner and it is honestly annoying for the rest of the tables at proximity. Overall overpriced for the quality, but food is still good.
An impeccable experience. They are extremely accommodating. Nothing you want, they will try to make possible. My 7 year oldhad chicken fingers that were out of this world and they weren't even in the menu. The service is a cut above what you believe is great service. We will definitely be back.
