This place is so strange. The location is great and the ambiance is nice but the staff hover to the point of making it very uncomfortable and the menu is all over the place (sushi and Italian). Our server was upselling pretty hard too. The food was mediocre. We got the zucchini and shrimp as appetizer and the sea bass and branzino for entrees. For the branzino, even the presentation felt odd. It came with one and a half fingerling potatoes and a slice tomato under asparagus. For the money, there are much better options in nyc. They do have an extensive wine, scotch and bourbon list though if that is your interest.

Valbella at the Park is a decent choice when in Manhatten. 3 levels, with the second floor bar area seeming to have the most action and the best feel. Entrance is in the middle of the two connecting streets, little tricky for uber drivers, unless they have been there before themselves. We enjoyed ourselves as a large private party, service was a bit spotty though and the food, while good was not over the top by any stretch...Parking: Good luck finding parking anywhere in NYC! Uber, take a cab or walk if you are comfortable doing so...

Listen it’s lovely and fancy, but couldn’t help feeling like they just trying to milk you to buy as much as possible. We were a large group in the wine room, but with the cheapest wine being $180? Just untenable.

Something was just odd about this place. The food was good but not great. Service was attentive to the point of being smothering. The food that was pushed by the server wasn’t great. We had the zucchini blossoms and octopus to start. Neither were inspired. The server said the octopus was on fava beans when it was on chickpeas. He pushed the egg ravioli which too wasn’t inspired. It was rich and was drowning in the sauce.Overall not great.

Great location. Lovely and attentive service. Impressive (albeit exoensive) wine list. Food was mostly good. Grilled branzino was a bit dull. Veal parmesan was okay. Seafood pasta was delicious and flavourful.

Unbelievable quality. Definitely try the sushi to start and then go to town on your favorite item on the menu.

Run don't walk to Valbella's ! Service was incredible, thank you Carlos ! If you're a sushi fan, order the Yama Roll - exquisite ! Linguine Frutti Di Mare was outstanding ! Every course, each dish, was fantastic. Tough to get a table during the week, but it opens up on the weekends. Incredible combination of location, ambience, service and food quality - one of the City's best kept secrets ! A DON'T MISS.

This is a very expensive restaurant for what you get. The wine list did not have any reasonable priced wines. The food was at absolute top dollar. Four appetizers, four entrees, two desserts and a bottle of wine for four people was just under $1000. In my experience, that's quite high. Even for New York and even for the best restaurants serving Italian fare.

Definitely a bit pricey, but very good. I dine here quite often, and it never disappoints. Last night we had the chicken parm and sea bass special. Ate at the bar and the service and cocktails were excellent.

My fiancé and I came here while we were staying in New York and the food was delicious! We both ordered the Penne alla Vodka for meals and got the Carpaccio di Manzo as an antipasti. Would definitely recommend!
