Tom Colicchito’s Valatta Restaurant in Union Sqaure on E19th is serving up elegance, flavor, & vibes all in one bite. From handcrafted cocktails to the most perfectly plated entrees, every detail is next-level
All of the food was outstanding. Staff was very kind and service started out 5/5, but as the restaurant filled things got a little slower - they seemed slightly understaffed. Not terrible but not great. Good price point for the market segment.
Overall strong recommend

Christian and the entire staff made our experience incredible. This was possibly the best dining experience I’ve ever had. A custom menu for my birthday, celebratory drinks, a birthday dessert, THE kindest and most warm staff, plus delicious food. There were so many special moments that left our group beyond satisfied. We were all visiting from different states, but will certainly all be talking about VALLATA when we get home. Thank for this special dinner!

We had a wonderful dinner celebrating a friend's birthday! Apps: whipped ricotta was beyond tasty. Fritto misto was very good. Mains:Fluke was great, pasta bolognese was amazing, eggplant parm was good, veal meatballs and chicken thighs were very yummy. Desserts were all great too. Service was lovely. Friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back!
Vallata is always amazing, but this time I brought a friend who has a serious dairy allergy and they were so kind and accommodating! The server kindly double checked and was able to go through the whole menu with us. My friend was so excited they had a dairy free pesto. As always a great experience.
Could not have had a better experience. We had the sweetest server. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Wednesday night so it was very quiet at first, picked up a bit throughout the evening. Perfect ambiance and was such a pleasant place to sit. Food was a little salty but overall great quality and good. Would definitely go back!
Everything was delicious! We were celebrating and everyone made us feel so special!

This is consistently a very good restaurant, whether you dine at the bar or at a table. The food—particularly the pastas—is well executed and well sized for multiple courses if you want to go that route plus there is a good wine list. Even when it is crowded the noise level is manageable.
First-degree burn on hand from hot tea at the Win Son pop-up. Skin on thumb is still dark. Paper tea cup was un-lidded and full to the brim, with no warning that it was scalding hot. Their restrooms only had warm water so was insufficient for cooling it immediately after, and I was provided a cup of iced water instead. Food was mostly meh.

It was a very bad experience. It was our anniversary and I've read about this renowned chef. It was ridiculous. My salad made of sliced melon and brute. The melon was so thin. You couldn't even pick it up with a fork and the pursuit was cut by hand it was like a raw piece of ham and I when I went to the chef and complained Zoe right I'm sorry I'll make you another one and I'll use the slicing machine, my eggplant was an inedible and my pasta dish. I'm still trying to figure out what it was served in an appetizer plate just bad the worst meal I've ever had weed out four nights a week and love trying different restaurants. I think this chef should get back into his restaurant that appearing on TV and promoting himself, just like Bobby Flay did and then he had to close his restaurants because they were terrible
Just love it here. Every time we go they make us feel so welcome. Food is amazing but staff is even better. Love that their menu changes but they always seem to have our favorites. Bartender goes above and beyond and really makes the place special, wish I remembered his name so I can let them know.

Fabulous food, warm & welcoming ambiance, and exceptional service at a reasonable price! It exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to return to NYC and Vallata. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Fabulous neighborhood restaurant. The food, service & vibe are all spot on, and the music is always great. So chill and a great value in the middle of some of the most famous & expensive restaurants in the city. Easy to overlook tucked in next to its big brother, Craft. Fav dishes: veal meatballs, cacio a pepe, whipped ricotta and nice affordable wine list. 5stars.
Wonderful dinner at Vallata. The mixed lettuces salad was fresh and delicious. The skate fish was just amazing. And the gelatos were all delightful- especially the Earl Grey. My server Luisanna and the whole team were fantastic. I look forward to returning soon.
