The ice cream was simple but good—really solid texture and flavor. I tried the cookie dough, which I liked, but it needed more cookie dough chunks to really shine. Overall, a tasty treat, just wish it had a bit more of that doughy goodness!

Great ice cream flavors! But what impressed me most was the exceptional customer service from store manager Michael in downtown Manhattan. He's a gem of a person! When I mentioned I was visiting from Australia, he went out of his way to recommend the best flavors, and I ended up having the best ice cream I've had in New York. Michael's bubbly and friendly demeanor made my experience truly special. I hope this feedback reaches him – he deserves the praise!

This place was really good, we had a large group of people of people from a tour and Jaleah helped us really fast! Very professional and speedy service the energy was nice and the ice-cream was really good! Close to the Seaport too!

It was OK, but I came to two different locations and they were sold out of a lot the vegan flavors. I understand if they can’t get the ingredients, but maybe add more vegan flavors on the menu.

The cobblestone streets leading up to the shop add to its charm, and the vibes inside are cool and relaxed. The ice cream girl always has cool tunes playing, making it a great spot to chill and indulge.

I personally love Van Lewin and was so excited to Come to this location. We called ahead of time and confirmed the closing time of 1 AM when we walked up to the shop, two people were cleaning up and they had locked the doors at 12:51 AM. They made eye contact with us and still did not open the doors, despite us pleading through the windows. This is absolutely ridiculous. There’s no reason for them to close when we were so excited to try this ice cream and they couldn’t have just opened it for a few minutes and made all day and made our day. We are only New York for one day and we are very disappointed by this experience. All we wanted was ice cream.
