A great old school place to try out dim sum from an extensive range of vegan options. The best dish we had was the tofu skin rolls filled with vegetables.

Today was the Lunar New Year’s celebration all along Mott Street, cordoned off for the parade! We were going to have dim sum next door but it was full packed with everyone all the way past the doors … so we went here to the Vegetarian Dim Sum which was sparsely crowded and quieter. The interiors are very modest but have ample seating for larger parties and family gatherings. The dim selection is very unique and if it’s a first time ordering it takes awhile to figure out what the items are. Completely vegan. And the service is super prompt and very good. The style of the dim sum is greatly different and uncertain of which region the restaurant is originally based. The portions are hugely generous, and the dough around the dim sum is very thick and unctuous. The fillings depending on what kind of greens selected, are very freshly made. Their derp fried egg rolls quite sensational with the side of duck sauce. And the steamed sweet red bean pieces really uniquely sensational also. Made of a sweet rice dough with filling. Overall, even as takeout, the leftovers are delicious eaten cold or at room temperature later. The prices are moderate though about the same said for regular meat dim sum large or small. Highly recommended but be reminded it’s CASH Only … there’s a Chase Branch not too far from here and BOA, also. Otherwise, very enjoyable food!Vegetarian options: Everything on the menu is completely vegetarian, except the soda pop.Kid-friendliness: Yes, designate space for families with childrenWheelchair accessibility: Main floor entryway and restaurant interior

This place is a vegan party waiting to happen with tons of dim sum options and a huge menu of entrées to choose from. I regularly ate here about 15 years ago but hadn’t been back for a while as most of my work and shifted uptown. It’s best to go in a group and just order lots of different items to share. The dim sum menu is a lot of fun and really tasty but not for you if you have a gluten allergy. Entrées are flavorful and with such a huge variety of items from which to choose you’re certain to find something for everyone. I recommend the large soups which are full of vegetables and dumplings. The red bean paste buns and mock steamed pork buns are super fun and unusual to find vegan versions of. My only real disappointment were the “fresh juices.” They were definitely not fresh. They tasted like they had put frozen fruit in a blender and added even more water. Other than that the service was quick and efficient. Definitely recommended for a group outing.Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian. Definitely a fun place for a group tasting experience.

Food is always amazing! They only have one server so it can take a bit when they’re busy but this never bothers me as the food never misses! Complimentary tea is good. Super cheap and right in the heart of china town. The mock pork steamed buns are a must try!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Was sat in a timely manner but weren’t given menus until 30+ min later, finally ordered after over an hour of sitting there, and when the food took longer than 30 min to come out, we left. Spent 2 hours in the restaurant with absolutely nothing to show other than a bad experience.

They have gluten free options and good prices. We’ve repeated several times on our trip to ny.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I was excited to try this place but got very disappointed. I asked the woman if they had black sesame buns and she said yes, but when the order came it wasn’t black sesame but beans paste or who knows what, didn’t eat it. I also ordered some spinach dim sum and the taste was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. No ginger, garlic or whatever spice that would give it some taste. It’s sad that the woman that took the order just said: “yes yes yes” but she barely hears you, she doesn’t care. I had a lot of similar experiences in other Chinese stores, not all of them, but a lot and I’m sure you out there had the same too. Ah, the tea she brought me that pairs with dim sum was not jasmine or anything drinkable. It was AWFUL!!!! The teapot was totally DIRTY AND DUSTY. WHAT A HORRIBLE PLACE. AVOID IT!

Amazing! Nothing negative to say. The service is fast and cordial. Copious portions (6 dishes for 2 and we had too much). Lots of choice, almost too much, I wanted to taste everything! The dishes were hot, the food fresh and tasty. We loved our visit on December 25, 2023.
