Visiting NYC from the UK and getting married in Central Park for our fairytale Christmas wedding on 18/12, we decided on Victor's Cafe as the place to eat after the wedding in the morning and our ice skating 'first dance' in the afternoon. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, Diego and the whole the team at Victor' Cafe, made us feel like royalty. I had pre-booked and it was just the two of us, thousands of miles away from home, but that evening, during our meal, we felt like we were surrounded by family. The service was incredible and the food was out of this world. I cannot thank the team there enough; you helped to make our special day perfect. Thank you Diego and team, from the bottom of our hearts. We hope to see you next Christmas and spend our first wedding anniversary meal with you!

I have been going to Victor’s Cafe on 52th street in NYC, for about 30 years. My sister and I would always have lunch there before we attended a play.( I was there on 11/29/25, visiting my sister for Thanksgiving) my grand daughter and sister were with me as we were going to see the & Juliet, the play. We had a 12pm reservation at Victor’s. Monica open the door n let me in, my sister and grand daughter were taking a walk. While I was waiting for them to come back I got to talk to Monica letting her know how much I loved Victor’s Cafe, the food, drinks ,service, and atmosphere are amazing! I live in Nashville now, and Monica mentioned a family member was in a band in Nashville. My sister and granddaughter returned and Monica sat us in a booth in the back, great table, Monica also treated us to an appetizer as well as a dessert! I wanted to thank Monica for the great table as well as the appetizer and dessert, however she had left before we could let here know how grateful we were for the her thoughtfulness. Thank you Monica, hope to see you again, next time we eat at Victor’s because I want to thank you in person and give you a big hug!!! Con mucho amor y besitos, Olga

Beautiful place, I luv'd it! We were seated right away. Waiters were attentive, courteous & friendly. Food & dessert were delicious. They have great cocktails as well. I enjoyed the cod fish corn fritters as Appetizer, Sooo scrumptious! And I had Salmon as main course with rice n beans sauce and tostones as side. There was a shrimp dinner ordered as well, presentation was impressive. For dessert I highly recommend the guava cobbler with vanilla gelato. Victor's was a Great Experience, I would absolutely go back.

This restaurant never disappoint my family and I. The location is great. I wish there was one in NJ. Everything about the food is deliciously amazing! The service is wonderful!! We had Ceasar our server he was so attentive, & personal. He made it a point to bring my 2 daughters personal signed birthday cards from the staff, & a 3 leches pastry with a lit candle.

The food here is just ok and they are certainly not generous with their portions. The best part of our meal was the guac with chicaron, salsa and fried plantains chips. That started us off on a good note but then it just got kinda boring after that. The lechon (pork dish) was lacking flavor and the baca frita was kind of dry. The drinks were ok and our dessert didn't impress..

Every bite makes you want to try more. The service quality exceeded standards once more. The atmosphere is part of the appeal. The menu maintains standards throughout. I have strong attachment to Victor's Cafe Cuban Restaurant.

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and wish you lived in the city?
If I lived in NYC, this would be my favorite place to dine every week.
Seriously, you are greeted by the hostess, Fresh. Her welcome and kindness set the tone for the night.
We were fortunately to have Gonzalo as our waiter. He was patient and kind....AND, he helped me order excellent margaritas for the night.
He also assisted with our entrees.
Then, we moved to dessert.
Perfect, along with our coffee.
An outstanding experience.
Thank you, MD for you kind support.
The hostess in the women's bathroom was also kind.
WOW! Just WOW!
I look forward to our return and bringing my dear Cuban friend to join us.

Thank you,  doesn't seem strong enough to share our appreciation.

We will be

What marvelous place to dine!

Thank you.
Linda
PS. Couldn't share pictures. What an awesome team!

Our reservation time was not honored and we saw group after group walk in and be seated ahead of us, even if they had a reservation for a later time. When we first walked in I was told they were clearing table and it should be ready shortly. However 25 minutes later we were still waiting. The hostess was dismissive when asked and we were told that since it was a same day, last minute reservation (1 hour before), we have to wait as others made reservations days before us. Why offer a time slot via Opentable and then not honor it?

The food was delicious. We ordered the chicken empanadas which were baked not fried and the accompanying sauce was tasty. We also ordered cocktails that were refreshing. We had the ropa vieja which is the house specialty and it was really well seasoned and a nice portion. The accompanying black beans were yummy. We also ordered a side of sweet plantains which was a generous portion. Overall a delicious meal. We look forward to going back and trying different dishes

Great Cuban restaurant. We stayed in the hotel near the restaurant and came here at opening time. We were greeted by the door and seated right away. Service was great. Food was super tasty and full of flavor. My wife and I had mojolitos and they were well prepared.
However, when we were leaving, around 6.30pm, the place got very busy.

Very good food, but rude and inattentive wait staff. Look elsewhere….

Although a NYC iconic Cuban staple, it traded it's great food for a pretty atmosphere. Seafood paella was overcooked and lacked flavor. Plantains were thin and greasy. Ironically, guacamole and chips were creative. Sadly, not enough reason to return.
