This is, hands down, the best Italian food I have eaten. We had a party of six and all tried a wide variety of foods from the menu - each being perfectly prepared. The drink selection was great, the wait staff fantastic and the ambience perfect. If I am ever back in New York, this is my go to location for dinner.

My friend and I had a very nice meal here recently. Excellent service. Paglia e fieno was fantastic! A dish I don’t see much anymore. Osso buco with risotto was good. Rice maybe a little too rubbery. Liked the option of getting a half carafe of wine. Just the right amount and cheaper than ordering by the glass. Finished off with freshly filled cannolis. We will be back. Artwork could use updating.

Food was ok. Not the best Italian but ok. Bread was cold and probably a days before bread.

I actually really enjoyed everything about this place. The food was good. The ambiance was great. The service was amazing as well. Price was decent. Thank you to our waiter, Kenny. He really made the experience better. Only thing I was was that the dishes were presented a little better but honestly it fits the place ?

Villa Mosconi was such a great place! Food was fantastic! The staff here super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be returning. There’s also a back room for private gatherings one event I’ve been to there the meal was family style and there was tons of options to choose from.

Previous reviews called out the authentic Italian comfort food - 100% spot on. Osso Buco was delicious! Overall ambience was nice, took the big city feel from outside and made it intimate a s quaint. Very nice to be able to hold a conversation while enjoying great food!

Servers were attentive and knowledgeable, restaurant was comfortable and clean, and the food was delivered quickly and tasted great. Gnocchi with pesto was a standout, as was the caprese salad. Would definitely return.

Spent New Years at Villa Mosconi. The atmosphere ruled. A landmark of an NYC restaurant of which there aren't many left. We were greeted by the owner warmly which was a great precursor to the evening ahead. The ambiance was festive, bustling yet comfortable and celebratory. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The warm antipasto was superb, the lasagna tasty but small, the veal cutlet was just ok and the fettuccine bolognese was horrible; the sauce was dry, the pasta lacked texture was all chopped up. The barbera wine was a great pour and very good. The desert, a crispy cannoli and the coffee also really good. We had a great waitress who was on top of the things and super nice. Still worth a visit. We will be back in spite of the mixed reviews on the food just for the experience and try out a few dishes including the delicious warm antipasto.

Very old school. White tablecloths and old paintings on the wall. They brought a bowl of sesame breadsticks to the table. We ordered a bottle of wine and the options were plentiful. They ordered a bottle from someplace they knew in Italy. I split the chicken Marsala and the shrimp oreganata with my daughter. The shrimp were very lightly breaded and very large. In my opinion there could have been a little more olive oil and oregano, but the dish was still very good. The chicken marsala had a good flavor and had lots of mushrooms. It also came with a side of spaghetti. Everyone else ordered chicken or veal parmagiana. At the end of the meal, despite being pretty stuffed, at we ordered tiramisu. It was a good size to share and end the meal on a high note.
