I order a salad with grill chicken,
The salad could be good if the grilled chicken was hot not cold !

We had a pancake breakfast - not gourmet but neither was the price - plenty of selection and the staff were great - maybe add tables and chairs outside as the eating area was just a bench with four chairs.

This morning I called the establishment to request my eggs be made a certain way because I am not a huge fan of eggs. The staff who answered the phone were very rude and standoffish and refused to simply add one slice of cheese to my eggs insisting that I contact door dash. They then hung up the phone and sent all my following calls to voicemail . I don’t suggest ANYONE order from here . The food that goes into my body nourishes me I will never order from them again.

An excellent local place, great for evening lunches. I personally tried the Monte Cristo, and it was a perfect mixture between savory, and lightly sweet. I also recommend the smoothies!

Go at your own risk. Flip of coin could be good could be horrible. Soup/ paninis is good cook is rude.

Purchased paninis and chicken soup, came on my break 3 days in a row. Same order. 2nd day brought a friend, sharing my new place spending more money. There was a kind women who took my order 1st two times 3rd the charm had a horrible experience with customer service.

Cook wanted to up charge for the free complimentary tortilla chips they already give for free with the sandwich when I asked him to hold the bread with my soup. He was very rude and said he was saving the tortilla chips for orders and couldn’t give me 4 with my soup instead of a half baguette if toasted bread. Then I was like wow thats weird because you gave me them free with my other orders before and I didn’t even eat them. Suddenly he cubes up with a $4.99 charge for a pinch of tortilla chips. Like be Forreal, almost had a loyal costumer. Not going back. Also he gave me the bread I told him I didn’t want anyway just for me to toss it. Waste of food, no space to eat inside, rude cook and gets the orders wrong.

Great place for breakfast. They made us chai and filter coffee in request. Was craving a waffle which wasn’t on the menu but the chefs were able to make one for us!

Food was good. They got to us quickly. Small place so really only two people could eat in but worth it.

We ordered the chicken parm panini and grilled chicken panini.

time flies—meant to post this in February, it’s now November. better late than never.

Village Cafe & Grill is a small takeout spot (no seats no tables) for orders and pickup. it’s a small grill/deli sport filled grab-n-go snacks and soft drinks…the eatery serves a large breakfast and lunch menu of hot or cold sandwiches, burritos, pastas, wings, fries, omelettes, pancakes, French toast, and so much more.

stopped here on a cold February late afternoon and needed a coffee, the folks here brewed a fresh pot even though it was close to closing. really appreciated the staff here going the extra mile just for a solo customer and a cup of coffee. the coffee was solidly good and warmed me up.

definitely worth a stop by if you are looking for takeout food in the East Village area.

Friendly service and the food options looked decent. The burger was dry and over cooked and panini was overly greasy unfortunately.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast to go but ended up sitting at the stool and people watched while watching my food. Super convenient location and the service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious. Loved my orange juice. My friend enjoyed his smoothie.
