Very poor experience. I did not enjoy my meal. I noticeably did not eat it. Our server did not ask if I'd like something else instead. He then billed us for it. I asked to remove it. He didn't apologize or acknowledge. He simply removed it and gave us the check. Very transactional. No personability, no service. Horrible. Our server was Alain.

The food is extremely expensive and the quality is just ok. The service was ok, but felt very rushed. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, but the prices are just outrageous.

Beautiful and very good food and service. Prices are very high and not transparent on some things such as water.

We went there for brunch. The food was ok, a bit overpriced for the quality. The service was the worst I’ve experienced in New York. They were rude and rushing us. They had difficulties to get the order right and had to ask several times and seemed annoyed by everything we said.

Food was delicious, but quite pricey as others have noted. Enjoyed lemon mascarpone pancakes and eggs Benedict in what used to be the music room of the Villard mansion. Service was impeccable. I would have preferred a bit more quiet, but would return.

I'm making this my regular dining spot. The team shows wonderful friendliness and suggested completely satisfying food. The quality here deserves recognition. They provide a decent sized meal. I confidently back staff who deliver this quality.

Total joke. Just have a look at the receipt. $9.5 tropicana juice that was poured without us asking for it. Terrible service. The greek yogurt came with cheap garbage granola. The $19 berries were old and partially rotten. The $15 espresso served in a coffee cup not espresso cup? $11.5 coffee? Common. I am a new yorker. I am used to be taking advantage of. So if I am going to massively overpay, at least give me the service to go with it. Provide high end service, nice glasses, fresh juice, high end granola, excellent service. A corner diner would have offered a better meal.

We enjoyed an excellent breakfast in the historic Villard restaurant . You should ask your server to share the history of the room, and the preservation of a beautiful architecture .

It used to be amazing but service and food quality has had a steep decline. Please bring it back to its former glory!

The service was rude and very forceful, and the prices were grossly overpriced. This restaurant charged me 20 dollars for sparkling water, 18 dollars for a small portion of berries, 10 dollars for orange juice and more. The meal was 200 dollars for 2 plates of food. The bacon was burnt and it cost 15 dollars. The overall atmosphere was nice, it was vintage and rustic but the experience was not worth the cost nor the service. Out of all the restaurants I have visited in New York, this place was the most appalling. Ther servers were pushing prices and drinks on me and my mother, and the portion size was nowhere near the cost. If you are looking for a nice classy place to go in New York, I do not recommend this restaurant.

Service was absolutely terrible. Rude, forceful and rushed. We don’t pay attention to prices but when we got the bill we were shocked that ONE CUP of coffee was $11. No wonder we were asked at least 5 times, in a demanding and aggressive manner if we wanted more coffee. The tips on just two cups of coffee is great!
The ambience is nice, the guest atmosphere was ok but that’s about it. The bacon was pretty terrible. And the dishes uninspiring and absolutely insanely priced. There are so many amazing breakfast places in NYC, if you are not a tourist and stay at the hotel anyway, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

As a guest at the historic Lotte Palace Hotel, decided to try their restaurant and bar.I I was captivated by its enchanting atmosphere. While it is certainly on the pricier side, the unique blend of grand history and stunning architecture makes it truly one-of-a-kind. The breakfast experience was divine, with simple yet elegant dishes that set the tone for a memorable stay.

However, the real highlight was the evening visit to the bar. Although it's a small room and I had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat, the wait was well worth it. The lighting and grand design transported me back in time, creating an ambiance that felt like stepping into a bygone era. I had a fantastic time chatting with the friendly bartender and mingling with other guests. One delightful encounter was with a fellow alumnus from Northern Arizona University, which added a personal touch to the evening. The overall mood was lively and fun, making for an unforgettable experience.
