This was our first time here. Sierra was a joyful part of our experience from the first moment we sat down. She had good suggestions and helped us navigate the menus. My manhattan was wonderful, and was stolen by my wife, who had the winning dish of the night with the amazingly tasty and beautiful black ravioli pasta stuffed with lobster. I had a close second with the black spaghetti with scallops and mussels. The sauces were tasty, savory and light. The wine list was good and we enjoyed a delicious white Bordeaux with our meal. I wish I was staying in NYC longer so we could eat there again. Go and enjoy the food, drink and atmosphere!
I really love this restaurant. I've been there many times, and it always exceeds my expectations.
This is my favorite restaurant in Harlem and one of my top 5 faves in the city. I wouldn't change a thing. I've enjoyed every meal here and look forward to enjoying many more.
Vinatería has truly become one of my all-time favorite restaurants. Every time I walk through the doors, I'm greeted with warmth, great energy, and the kind of atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The food is always outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The pasta dishes are perfection, the seafood is always cooked just right, and the cocktails and wine list are some of the best in the city. You can tell everything is made with real care and creativity. What really makes Vinatería special, though, is the people. The staff is always so kind, attentive, and welcoming — they remember you, they take time to connect, and they truly make the experience feel personal. That combination of great food, great service, and great vibes is what keeps me coming back again and again. Whether I'm meeting friends for dinner, having a solo night with a glass of wine, or celebrating something special, Vinatería always hits the mark. It's a place with heart, soul, and style — and it's hands-down one of the best dining experiences in Harlem.
Consistently consistent with service, sumptuous food, drinks, ambience and always a wonderful experience. Whether Im enjoying cocktails at the bar or sitting with friends for dinner as I often do, I am guaranteed to enjoy the full experience where all my expectations are met . From the warm welcome to my departure, my time at Vinateria is always a memorable one. I extend my thanks to Tom and staff for their professional and friendly service over the six years that I have been going to Vinateria.
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Cozy, good food and excellent wine selection with a very friendly staff and a knowledgeable manager. Good for dates and dinner with friends. We are never being rushed and closed the restaurant down at many occasions.
We always have a great time at Vinateria! We visit frequently- and the food and drinks are always amazing. Check out their Happy Hour - one of the best in Harlem! They have some vegan friendly dishes- hope to see some new dishes for their Autumn/Winter menu!
This was an important business meeting, and I wanted everything to be perfect. The staff at Vinateria did not disappoint. I arrived a bit early and gave the Asst GM, Sam, a heads-up. He was lovely and accommodating in every way. Offered one of their best tables and continued to deftly check in without interrupting conversation. The food arrived in a very timely manner, everything was delicious. they even offered a round of drinks on the house. My guest remarked that it was the best experience he's had in Harlem generally. Thanks Vinateria!!! You helped me look like a superstar!!!
Happy Hour was divine. Lots of little bites + wine flowing. Loud inside but a good energy.
Food was good (and nice to have good food in the neighborhood) but not a great value. Service was quite slow. Noise was off the charts loud, we regretted not sitting outside. We were not able to sustain a conversation among the five of us. Came to celebrate a birthday and noted it in OpenTable. Purchased 4 desserts but no recognition of a birthday.
Restaurantji Recommends
This was my first visit for dinner. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and very efficient. But the noise level was terrible. The restaurant was nearly full (good for them!), the bar was packed and very loud. Overall, I could barely hear my dinner partner, and if we weren't talking, the overall din was not pleasant. If you're young and don't mind the noise, I highly recommend. If you're older like me, go for lunch, at an off-hour, or sit outside
Food was delicious! We had Brussels Sprouts and black seafood pasta. I remembered the pasta a bit too salty to my taste when visiting last time, but this time the pasta was perfect! The space inside is a bit tight.

Good food, very loud and please stop using iPads for orders there is no interaction with the servers to discuss the menu and how the food is prepared, they punch your order into an iPad and move on. That's not a great dining experience I would expect from a nice restaurant.
