Rented out the basement for my bachelorette this weekend and it was the best decision I've made!!! Kaarin and the entire staff were INCREDIBLE from the moment I booked. She was responsive, accommodating, and kind throughout the planning process. On the day-of, the staff (door staff, bartenders, DJ etc.) were so kind and helpful and went above and beyond to be sure my friends were happy. The DJ Addy even came over to check in on me several times throughout the night. Incredible experience and I will be telling all of my friends to book here. Cannot recommend Von enough for your next event!

I rented out the downstairs of Von for my bachelorette this weekend and had the most amazing experience from start to finish. Kaarin (one of the owners) was incredible to work with during the entire planning process. She answered all of my questions quickly and was always willing to go the extra mile. The drinks package included food for a reasonable price, and my friends all raved about the pizzas and cheese board. It's such a great option for a party where you're not looking to serve a full dinner but want to be sure no one leaves starving. On the day of the party, the entire staff was absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to be sure my friends and I were having fun, and the DJ even came over to check in on me throughout the night. Hands down, best place to host a party in NYC. I can't recommend Von enough!

The place is nice. It has areas where the music is dominant and others where it's not. There's also a dance floor on a lower level. It's a very enjoyable place to spend time. There are many options. The prices are relatively reasonable. I recommend it.

Used to love this place, but service has tanked. One bartender in particular - he has long hair, wears one long dangly earring, and an Australian accent I think - was so rude at my last visit. Ignored my friend and me despite making eye contact, when I ordered two drinks he only gave me one and closed out the tab, then again ignored us for another 5-10 minutes and had an attitude about having to make another drink and reopen our tab. I ordered something he wasn't able to make because of a certain ingredient but instead of simply saying that he spoke sarcastically and condescendingly. Probably won't be coming back

rude ass bartenders.. went to the bar to order a drink. both bartenders looked right at me and continued to talk, I made eyes, they proceeded to walk over to their regulars and took their orders. Then finally hit me with the "hey man what can I do you for!?" As if I hadn't been standing there for already 10 minutes. They both continued to have attitudes every time I went up to order a drink as if I was bothering them. Just douchey all around guys who think they're way cooler than they are and wear tinted sunglasses. Go back to the 2016 urban outfitters catalogue that you came from. Learn some decent hospitality skills. Needless to say.. don't recommend

Drinks (3/5): Drinks are reasonably good. I got the Moscow mule which was well made. I went after a friend's birthday and was mostly full so didn't have much here. The others also agreed the drinks are decent. Service (3/5): The bouncer wasn't particularly nice but got us in quickly. Similar experience was had with ordering the drinks where they weren't particularly accommodating or friendly but got things done. Ambiance (3/5): It's a dive bar type place. Not the cleanest and fanciest but ok for a get together with friends. It was easy for us to walk in and find a space because there were several areas. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest and had a ton of marks all over the windows and walls.

Love the atmosphere! Super spacious inside and has even more in their basement, which has a bar and dancing! Drinks and bartenders were awesome too. A good vibe to meet someone for a drink or take yourself out for one solo.
