We had a wonderful meal at Wa Jeal. Our dishes were fresh and beautifully presented. The ambiance is perfect for an intimate dinner: a handsome, well-space dining room, and quiet music in the background, attentive service. But best of all, the food is flavorful and absolutely delicious. Wa Jeal is one of our favorite places es to dine on the Upper East Side, and a true neighborhood gem.

Pleasant and prompt service, good food with a large variety of choices, quiet surroundings.
As usual our group get together was wonderful. The food and service were as expected based on prior experiences with the restaurant.
A hidden gem on the Upper East side. The food is good, the service also. Will be back

We had the Sesame Chicken and General Tso’s Chicken — both were absolutely delicious! The food was so good that we came back a second time during our trip. Highly recommended!

It’s no understatement when I say that the General Tso’s Chicken here is the best chicken I’ve ever had. Absolutely exceptional. A must-eat for any trip to NY.

Delicious every single time. No matter what I order, I always enjoy my meal. It is consistently good whether I dine in or order out. It's my 5-year-old's favorite place to eat. We order in every Sunday night.
We ordered food yesterday. eggplant with garlic sauce was swimming in oil that tasted like motor engine old oil. Fried rice with shrimp that had 5 shrimps and sesame shreded beef that was totally unrecognizable meat. It looked more like fried skin and fat because it was translucent . We have been going to this restaurant in the neighborhood and always liked it, but the quality of food here and in many other places after the pandemic has sharply declined. Will not come back here
Highly rated restaurant caught my eye, very close to subway and The Guggenheim. Walked over for lunch and loved every minute of this meal. Dee took great care of us. We enjoyed delicious soups, pork dumplings, and two lunch entree portions with brown rice. We had General Tsos chicken and Beef with Scallions. It was so affordable and delicious in a quaint, friendly setting. Trying to figure out how to get back there during this trip. It was delicious.
We love coming here when people are out of town! The food is always the best, especially the crispy shredded beef
