Classic Jamaican restaurant. Food is good, and the staff is military friendly. Will definitely hit it again next time I am nearby. We got jerked chicken and couldn't be happier.

Best oxtails, rice and peas I've had in a very long time... Well seasoned, tender and a delicious gravy...The jerk Chicken is good also... They don't have the greatest stewed chicken and their homemade juices are delicious...

Yeah it's a no for me. I came here because I literally live in the next building and I was hungry. This is not my go to spot for Jamaican food but I didn't want to go far and I was hungry. I got j*** chicken by itself, which was seven dollars and I also got cabbage on the side which was three dollars. Now the j*** chicken was dry as the desert. I literally think they found that bird in the desert already cooked and then they brought it to New York and cooked it again that's how dry it was. I chewed a piece of chicken for like 2 minutes , I had to sip my soda while chewing the chicken so it can be moist enough for me to swallow it. I honestly think they gave me old chicken. As for the cabbage bland as hell no favor at all and it was cold, the suck thing for me is I don't own a microwave. I could've went back down stairs and complain but I am not arguing with no Jamaican lady. I just won't go back.

Burnt Rice

This is very good Jamaican food in the 143 & Lenox . The lady at the front was very courteous( not for nothing but this is rare in Harlem. Like erbody mad)The food flavor taste like it was made with love. The j*** sauce was spicy and amazing. There is alot of nycha & mta bus employees that always are eating here. The food was really good yahd style.I like to support local places and this place earns its merit with tasty food and good service from a Jamaican place.Jamaican take out spots are NOTORIOUS for their "customer service" like I prefer my oxtail with some attitude or else it dont taste right chilleeeeeeee

I order stew chicken while rice and cabbage with a side order or macaroni and cheese gravy on the side the chicken was burnt and nasty they pour gravy over my rice and I text them gravy on the side then tried to cover it up by putting the cabbage on the rice then put the Mac and cheese on top of the middle of the rice how tacky can you be I will never order from them again stop trying to cook

Oxtails we’re mostly animal fat, no meat on bones. They added mac&cheese in the same box as the rice. They use Uncle Ben’s rice.

Sour Skittlez

I drove from Far Rock to go to a bbq and they didn’t even have food. That ended up being a blessing in disguise I wish I took pictures, this food slaps and made my whole commute worth it. I ordered the 3 pic fried whiting fish, 5 piece fried shrimp, rice and peas, and cabbage. Cost $16 not bad at all and was great to split with my bf. Dont forget the j*** sauce. Highly recommend!

Wasn't the NY jerked chicken I was expecting. Taste more like a sweet BBQ sauce than j***

BUSSIN. this spot was so delicious. first we went to the location on 145th which was closed (bummer) then my friend directed us to this second location on Malcolm X. We both ordered the fried snapper with onions and veggies, rice and peas, and cabbage. everything was DELICIOUS. they ask you what kind of gravy you want on the rice as well. I got oxtail gravy and it was so good. the fish is amazing. i haven't yet tried other things on the menu as this was my first time, but i'm definitely coming back the next time i'm in Harlem. i'm actually really surprised there are no reviews for this spot yet. so good! patronize this establishment.
