Busy Austrian restaurant close to the Cathedral Service quite quick despite being a busy warm evening Schnitzels and goulash which we tried were very good and portions large Well worth a visit !
After any length of time spent in Vienna, the sameness of the typical Austrian menus becomes a bit of drag. Wienerwald is a rotisserie chicken specialty restaurant. Tasty food, and a good change of pace after getting Schnitzeled out!" I had the classic half Brathendl, or half roasted chicken; served with a Blattsalat (green salad), and Pommes Frites (French fries). Came away satisfied.
We were walking near by looking for a place to eat. This wasn't shown on TripAdvisor map when I checked for restaurant around us, which is a shame,as we could have missed it. Was busy when we came for lunch, around 14.30 but we found the last table available. The service was good, our waitress was attentive. The food was good, I went for local fish, and we had shnitzel as well, both fresh and tasty.
