I have been a long time fan of this place but I did not appreciate the experience I had last time. I was told a 15 minute wait which ended up being 1.5 hours long….. insane! This was the same for many other people waiting for their food.
Two friends left when we found out the wait and they PAID for their food already. I was the order right before so when our order got called- we went to get our friends order too but they refused!!
They said “no ticket no food” but they didn’t ask for a ticket when I got the first order. I expressed that they weren’t able to wait the whole time as they had to leave.
I understand it was our fault for not grabbing their ticket but through the frustration we did not think about it. I said they could look at the cameras and see how we all came in but they wouldn’t budge. The food was already made and it was ready! It was late so they weren’t taking any more orders or we would have placed another order for our friends to take back with us. They refused to take any order OR let us pay again for it… It just seems like such a waste of our money and food and was very upsetting

I saw this place on TikTok a year or two ago. I marked it on the map and forgot about it. A few years later, I accidentally saw it marked on the map. And it turned out I live not far away. I decided to come with a friend to try it. I was told to wait 40-45 minutes for my order. I ordered a portion of shrimp rolls for each of us. And you know, I really regretted it (because I ordered VERY LITTLE. I should have ordered much more portions🤣🤣🤣. It was incredibly delicious and unusual. You deserve a Michelin star ⭐️. Next time I will order much more.

hands down the best rice roll, i come here 2-3 times a week for lunch. weekend waiting times can be up to 1hr during peak, be prepared. for the portion and quality of the rice roll honestly i think they’re undercharging.

Best rice roll we’ve had in china town.
Slightly more expensive versus the cheong fun cart but I think the value for this outweighs the “nickle and dining”. Larger portion size and fresh shrimp.
They charge extra for more sauce like peanut sauce. Worth a stop by but tbh wouldn’t go out of my way for it

These really are the best rice rolls in the city, and quite frankly the best rice rolls I’ve ever had. I’ve been to 55 countries and spent a lot of time in Asia. Really just fantastic. Very small place. Cash only. I’ve never waited less than 30 minutes, so be prepared. But it’s completely worth it!
Its get your rolls and go but the staff are amazing. Food is great and affordable

dough has its own subtle flavor and they actually give you succulent, sweet jumbo shrimps with your fresh shrimp chang fen order, unlike other spots which have switched over to baby shrimps. orders always come out hot and *juicy*, w/e filling you pick. good sweet soy sauce and chili oil on the side

really compact space with tall chairs and long table flush against the wall. don't come w too many ppl pls

The best rice rolls in China Town! Ive tried all of them, and these are hands-down my favorite. Something about getting to watch that man make them all from scratch by hand is incredible. The noodles are so thin and packed with fillings! Highly recommend

I love how they made by order. Every rice rolls were made traditionally dish by dish. Also, they freshly mill the starch out and use the steamed trays which I like those things so much. They have sauce and chilli oil on the tables for you to add on. The store was small with only a few seats. The area was pretty clean. We also got good service though.
