This review is 24 years overdue. Because that's how long I have been going to westside. That's when I started my job and they were there before that. Cozy atmosphere good food good vibes, good people but most important good food. They are my lifesaver after work with their mondongo Monday and Thursday every time I don't cook.

This place rocks! First time here and had baked chicken with rice and beans. Was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender and incredible tasty - spiced to perfection.

Their hot sauce is hot but also has a peppery taste that kicks everything up a notch. Most hot sauces are hot and may have a tomato base with not much flavor. This hot sauce was pure tasty, spicy pepper- mmmmmm!

The staff is kind, friendly and helpful. My meal was filling, delicious, nutritious and only $14. For this area and while we are in an inflationary period is fantastic.

Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes. As a fan of Dominican food this has to be among the best I’ve had. Go eat here and ask for the hot sauce and use with caution!

Been coming here on and off for 20 years, since I was a little kid. I live abroad now but went back on a trip to NY this week and the food is good as ever. Beef Burrito combo is delicious and massive and comes at a reasonable price. Love this place!

On our final day in New York, my wife and I stumbled upon a remarkable restaurant that served the most memorable meal of our entire trip. Unlike most establishments in the area, the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The chicken soup and grilled beef with fried plantains were exceptional, making my mouth water just thinking about them. The warm and welcoming woman who worked there was incredibly helpful in recommending dishes. I only wish it wasn't so far from home so we could return more often.

People are friendly and you get a great amount of food for the price. Good to have traditional Spanish food. Reminds me of home cooking a bit.

My wife and I stopped in here on our last day in New York. It was honestly the best meal we had all trip. Pricing wasn’t extortionate like the majority of other places in the area. The chicken soup and grilled beef with fried plantain were incredible. I’m actually salivating right now thinking about it. The lady working here was lovely also and helped us with our choices.Would love to return if it wasn’t on the complete opposite side of the world to us.

I got chicken chunks without bones. 10 minutes later I started to eat. Chicken chunks were so hard and dry.. also I got sweet plantains and they were just as dry as the boneless chicken??? I just understand how can sweet plantains come out HARD! Not unless there cooked unrippend!?!?! Then it's about the chef!!!!

Stumbled on this place and decided to give it a try for lunch. I was so happy!!! Dominican food on point (I used to live on that island). I had the mofongo and it was awesome. Staff was great. Would go back many times.
