Food was okay. Nothing special. Nice fresh veggies but if you're looking for a culinary experience on your visit to Manhattan so many more choices; albeit much more expensive. Food was very basic. Veggie burger was heavily filled with some kind of filler and not very seasoned. Service was professional and friendly. I personally wouldn't rate it excellent as others have. If they improve on food presentation and flavor profiles this would be a great place to dine.
We went to Westville at 5 pm.on a Thursday. We had a reservation & got sat right away as the restaurant wasn't busy yet. Our meals arrived quickly after we ordered and were excellent. The negative part of our meal was that our server was Ok at best: while he was friendly, he was somewhat clueless (I don't recall his name and it's not in our receipt). His server skills were weak to the point that we wondered if he'd ever waited tables before. He never checked...
I go to Westville very often. I usually go to the Westville on Hudson and love it. Last night we went to the one in Hell's kitchen and it was very disappointing. We were celebrating a dear friends birthday and from the minute we sat down we felt rushed. I had the Market Plate. My Sweet Potatoes were burned - they were so burnt I couldn't chew them. I think if I go to Westville alone or taking friends I will go to the one on Hudson St. They are welcoming and attentive...
