Regarding my second visit to Whistle and Fizz, I was less impressed than the first time. My friend and I came on a windy weekend. The café was quite full, but luckily, we were able to get a table after two patrons left. I ordered the seasonal orange latte because I love trying new limited time flavors. The Asian barista in the glasses and beanie didn't seem to be in a good mood; perhaps it's because I took a minute to decide my choice? Another barista made my drink. When I received it and took a sip, I immediately did not like it. Although I tasted the orange notes, the flavor was strong in a bad way; it did not go well with caffeine. I could hardly finish, so my friend, who was more partial to this citrus mess, drank half. Her Chai latte tasted much better. It was nice to sit and chat there. Most demographics seem to be young NYU crowd. It is better to come with a smaller group than large due to limited seating.

my favorite coffeeshop in the area. their lattes are fantastic, but my favorite drink is the nitro black milk tea. they sweeten it with condensed milk instead of sugar, which makes it taste 1,000 times better than regular milk tea. the baristas are all super sweet as well. love love love it here.

Cute shop with awesome drinks, teas and coffee bar. I chose to have the Nutella Latte and it was simply delicious. I will visit again soon.

great drinks and atmosphere to be in. A repeat customer and always consistent with the service and drinks. My go to is the yuzu lemonade fizz.

This is the absolute best latte in NY. I travel and drink espresso and have high standards. The texture, balance, temperature, smoothness and flavor. The orange halvah latte was a nice surprise plus enjoyable coffee convo with the owner.

The interior is a little bit claustrophobic, and it seems like there are people who camp out here for half a day. I finally found a bench that was not occupied where I could sip my coffee. The coffee itself was decent, I don’t live too close by so I probably won’t be here again. A little weird that they don’t put prices on the large board, you have to look at the little laminated paper down on the counter.

Best coffee around NYU in my opinion. There are a couple tables there for studying, but it's a great place for grab and go!

Great chill spot to chat or work on homework. If you have friends who aren’t super into coffee, there’s not a ton of spots to go in the area. Their fizzes always hit the spot (even if you are a coffee lover)

Thoroughly disappointed. The milk-to-matcha ratio in their matcha latte is like 1,000,000 : 1. Basically paid $6 to walk around drinking a glass of milk as a full blown adult. Won’t return.

I loved my nitro milk tea with boba from Whistle & Fizz. I also had a sip of my companion's drink and it was equally distinctive and delicious.I love places that treat tea and coffee with similar reverence. Whistle & Fizz is one of them.

A relatively small cafe but there's an ample amount of seating (metal stools and wooden benches) and lots of wall outlets inside (you might have to try spotting them while looking around for a seat though). People are working on their laptops throughout the day and staff won't shoo you out. This cafe has been around for several years, last time I've stopped by was 4 years ago before the pandemic. Right around the corner from one of the NYU buildings. Conveniently located by the R/W lines at 8th St NYU and 6 train at Astor Place. Staff is patient, friendly and chill; willing to help and explain to customers about their pastries and/or drinks on the menu. You can ask the staff to help you refill water in your reusable water bottle. They offer free wifi for customers too. Didn't get a pastry as I'd just eaten lunch, maybe next time if/when I'm in the neighborhood again. I ordered a medium size iced peach earl grey fizz for $5.44. Glad that inflation times haven't brought up the price by too much. Accepts credit/debit card and/or cash as forms of payment. If you decide to check in on the Yelp app, you'll get a free topping (lychee jelly or tapioca pearls ~ usually an extra 75¢ regularly) in the drink of your choice. Love that I can clearly taste both the peach and earl grey flavors in the fizzy drink. Very refreshing indeed!!! Can ask for less ice (but not sure if you can ask for completely no ice?) There's no public bathroom for customers, so you might've to find one on the next block or something.....Free Wifi:Username: Whistle & FizzPswd: whistleandfizz (all lowercase letters)So, drop by for the cozy vibes and leave with a satisfying drink (and/or a pastry) in your hand.

The nitro is really well balanced with the tea flavors to not be too 'weak' and the tea seems well made but there seems to be a process problem or issue with my order. Basically all the sweetness seemed to be at the very bottom and the rest of the drink wasn't sweet at all and astringent, even after trying to mix everything together. When it was all together it tasted balance but I only got that my first few sips. Hopefully just a fluke but maybe more than that.Chill and fun spot to study even if it only has a few spots.
