Wicked Jane is a fine dining restaurant in New York located on 8th St between 5th and 6th Ave (Greenwhich Village). It‘s a lovely old building, long and narrow, the restaurant is located on 1st floor. The design is modern and simplistic - white walls, white table cloths. Service was very friendly and attentive, and created a cozy yet professional atmosphere. We enjoyed the tasting menu, modified to pescatarian for me upon prior notice. All dishes has a Mediterranean touch with strong flavors - creative, but not too complex. Clearly the ingredients were the centerpiece of each course. Compared to other restaurants, we found the flavors and textures well balanced, but on the stronger side (which we both like). When it comes to drinks, a wine pairing is offered which we found nice, but more classy than experimental (in a good way). Overall a very nice evening. Actually, we found the composition of the menu and the flavor profile more inspiring than in other places we dined at that were awarded a Michelin star - we‘d not be surprised if Wicked Jane will soon join the list of starred restaurants.

Best kept secret in nyc! Highly recommend this cute little restaurant! We’ve been here 3x and enjoyed every single experience. Impeccable service, romantic ambiance, delicious food and reasonably priced. We’ve been to over 45 Michelin star restaurants worldwide and still keep coming back to Wicked Jane!

Great genuine hospitality with awesome food with value. The most unique experience was that every staff was so genuine, elevating the experience. Hospitality in NYC can be mechanical (understandably) but this place was exactly the opposite. The somm Alvaro was the highlight of the experience. After noticing that I am studying for WSET (wine certification), he was kind enough to go above and beyond to share various different wines outside of the course and tailored the explanation in the context of the wine exam. There are many nice food in nyc, but the level of care you find at Wicked Jane is rare. The restaurant is a hidden gem with real substance/hospitality amidst the many restaurants in the city that relies on gimmick and hype.

We had the valentines day tasting menu. Food and service and drinks were great.We added the wine pairing as well. We loved the selections. In our opinion, the pours were very light compared to other wine pairings we've done in the past elsewhere.The reason for the 4* is we asked twice, the sommelier and the server, if they could bring us the bottle we loved so we can buy some ourselves, but they wouldn't bring it.

Delicious well-thought out tasting menu. Each plate was unique and flavorful. Highlights: onion bubble tea, fluke & jicama, trout, bread, duck. You will not find a better tasting menu for this price in NYC. Cocktails on point. Wine pairing was decent. May splurge for the library wine pairing when I go back. Excellent service.

Run, don’t walk here before they earn all the accolades they deserve and the price goes up and it gets harder to land a table. Seriously. The tasting menu here is such a value. Interesting and delicious, every course was solid. Wine pairings were also interesting and not the same old same old. Thanks to the Wicked Jane team for a delightful dinner experience!
We had a mostly fish based tasting menu, loved the use of some interesting ingredient combos (eg jicama and fluke). It was a surprisingly quiet night so I feel like we had some excellent service.

Had the tasting menu here for New Year’s Eve this year. The quality of the food, drinks, and service was amazing. However, the portions were incredibly small for not that many courses (eg, 1 piece of duck as the last course of a 5 course meal). Not sure if this is the case for the regular menu as well? Regardless, would’ve been 5 stars if they had doubled the portion sizes or added like 3 more courses.

Elegant, fun, and delicious! We did the NYE tasting menu, and frankly, I debated about posting because I don't want to make it impossible to get a reservation. The service was impeccable, including amazing wine pairings from the sommelier. Every course was surprising and satisfying in its own way. We also appreciated that there was plenty of space between tables for the best air quality possible. Memorable, even after lots of wine pairings!

Chef Zod has created a dining experience that is truly spectacular. Each dish is carefully thought out, perfectly executed and exquisitely presented. All staff members go above and beyond to ensure that the experience is perfect. Our sommelier added interesting notes on each wine and did a wonderful job of curating the pairing. This is an ideal choice for a special occasion. No surprise that Michelin has already recognized Wicked Jane and Chef Zod. Please go!
