Charged a higher price than listed on the menu. When I pointed it out after looking at my receipt, they didn't apologize or offer to make up for it in any way (said it was due to tax after calling someone else). This doesn't make sense in terms of how the numbers added up (although tax wasn't listed on the receipt). Also, the suggested tip was based on the higher amount.

This little coffee and baked goods shop inside the Q subway station on 86th Street is a cheerful morning pick-me-up. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The coffee and muffins are delicious. It totally elevate the idea of subway shops. 5 stars all around.

They are fast. I ordered a small hot coffee with almond milk and then paid for it... all while the downtown train was pulling into the station. And the coffee is STRONG.

Naburto (I can't spell sometime) is the kindest Barista I met. He's always greeting his Customer's and pays attention to details when brewing my coffee. He makes my visit to Winfield joyfully during my morning commute!

This place is clean and convenient. Coffee & baked goods are basic but great if you're in a rush to get on the train. Open from 7am-7pm and located on the lower level of the Q train stop at 86th & 2nd Ave.

Got their iced matcha latte and it was around $6-7. While the matcha quality was fine, the person that made it did not dissolve the matcha powder completely and there were matcha powder clumps through out the drink. The clumps were very bitter and it was just not pleasant to drink it. I ended up throwing it out without even finishing it. I guess it's convenient that it's in the subway station but it definitely did not worth $6-7.

Please note, if you are not taking the subway, they are located underground next to subway tracks but they have amazing customer service and high quality caffeinating! The subway gate people at the subway are very nice, just let them know you need access to the Winfield Coffee below. Hidden gem inside the subway. If you need to contact them, best to email them from their website, not call because the Connecticut location will pick up the phone.

Winfield Street Coffee is really good but you get what you pay for. My regular coffee spot opens late on Saturday so I came here this morning. I'm visiting a friend in the neighborhood anyway. This location is the same food and set up as in 96th Street Q Train Station. Enjoy!
The pastries were ok. I haven't had their coffee. It's very convenient to grab something on the go while you wait for the train or get off the train. Location is key here, especially if you're in a rush. Something to look at or snack on while you wait for the train.
