Wokuni is a wonderful experience from start to finish. Food is innovative, delicious and beautifully presented. Service is seamless and fast. Ambience is sophisticated and comfortable. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. It's one of our NYC favorites. And if you love sushi, there's none better.
We love Wokuni for its authenticity and super fresh dishes. The service is also excellent and the servers are ready to explain different aspects of the food if one so wishes. The only thing we do not like is the loudness of the music, which in our view conflicts with a rewarding dining experience.
Wokuni serves excellent Japanese cuisine at reasonable prices. The restaurant is about a 10-minute walk from Grand Central Station. It is recommended to make reservations for weekday lunch. We had been eyeing their Osashimi Teishoku (limited to 5 servings daily) and the Wokuni-Don (limited to 8 servings daily) on our last 4 visits but it was always sold out shortly after the restaurant opened at 11.30am. We finally managed to order the 2 dishes today. Both dishes were excellent....
