The food was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy and beautiful. Our waitress, Franceska, was fantastic! professional, personable and very helpful. We want to dine there again just to see her.
Rachel was my server and she was fantastic! Not intrusive but always there when I needed her.
The host was very welcoming in accommodating a better table than the one reserved for us, assuring us more space by the window. We had a perfect dirty vodka martini while waiting for the table to be set. Our server, Timmy Amador is the nicest guy and suggested a fantastic meat duo consisting of a porterhouse and a sirloin...it was enough for the 4 of us with a very very high quality of meat! The sides were also perfect. To finish off an apple crisp which is my favorite dessert @S&W. All in all, this continues to be a favorite of ours !! Well done S&W Grill !
My steak came medium rare, even though I ordered it rare. The cranberry apple crumble was luke warm and only fair.
Heidi was our server. She was excellent, food was excellent, drinks were excellent..... all in all perfect
A quintessential NYC experience. Loud. Brash. Fun. Service was not perfect (several mistakes with order) but they were running ragged in a packed to the gills spot. Splendid experience.
We had a great meal and a great time. Service was excellent as always and the food was just what we wanted.
Excelent as always, very good meat. The burguer was a little big, Its not easy to eat. Fish was delicious.place its really charming very british style, beatiful people. Service is very profesional and competent. Very good place.
Caesar salad was awesome! Mac n cheese hits the spot! Calamari could be more crispy. Roquefort topping can make the steak a bit salty (makes sense it's cheese), prefer cajun or au poivre. Overall great value for a steakhouse with a great ambiance that makes you feel like you're in NYC.
I'm a regular when I come to NYC. Oli is my favorite bartender! Great NYV cocktails and the Greta classic steaks of Smith & Wollensky.

The food was delicious and great value. The atmosphere was New York fabulous. And the service from Gabriel and Victor was outstanding. These waiters were very, very attentive to whom they were serving.
My wife and I came back to Manhattan for four nights. As is customary for us, we made it to Wollensky's each day of the trip. We went Thursday and Saturday for lunch, Friday for drinks before an event, and Sunday night for dinner (we always have dinner at Wollensky's the last night). As usual, we had a fantastic time each and every time. We love the energy and atmosphere. It was a great place to watch The Masters. The entire staff is so professional and so friendly. From Roger (the GM), to Ryan (a manager), to Shamus (the best bartender on the planet), to the server staff including Amador, Gabriel, Francesca, and Rachel, we love them all. And the food is amazing. The wedge salad is the best salad anywhere. The cocktail shrimp are huge: The prime rib was fantastic. And, the coconut cake is as good as advertised. It is always a pleasure to dine at our favorite restaurant. We can't wait for our next trip!
Wow, this place is exceptional! I'm somewhat of a food snob and everything we had here was wonderful. The shrimp cocktail came with an additional cream ginger sauce that was so unique and amazing that we insisted on keeping it at the table. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and of the highest quality, and the béarnaise sauce was to die for. We also had sautéed broccoli, which was fantastic, and three cakes, one of which was a perfect throwback to the strawberry shortcake ice cream bars I loved as a kid! But the best part of all was the service. Our server, Matt, and his pal (Nicolai? I may have butchered that - sorry!) were a true delight and worked as such an amazing team. They have been there for decades and it shows. We've already told friends they must visit during their upcoming trip and will certainly return ourselves! This place has a wonderful New York vibe away from all the chaotic tourist places. It's exactly what we needed for our last night in NYC.
We had another great meal here. The steaks are always consistent and good and (of course) cooked perfectly.
The best martinis in Manhattan! Followed by a wonderful dinner of lamb chops, creamed spinach and hash brown potatoes. Perfect!
