I had lunch at The Grill at Smith & Wollensky and it was absolutely fantastic! The service was impeccable — attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. The staff truly made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The food was exceptional — perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every dish we ordered exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was also great: elegant yet comfortable, making it a perfect spot for both business lunches and casual get-togethers. Overall, a five-star experience from start to finish. I can't wait to come back!
The noise level was incredibly loud... I had to practically yell to be heard. Our waiter was an atypical nyc cold rushed person! And to add insult to injury... the table linen(white napkins) shed all over our dark clothing!
The Grill is an excellent choice for a more energetic, vibrant, less opulent setting with good service and very good food! We're there almost every month for late night dining.
Had not been here in a few years and it continues to be a neighborhood gem food service ambiance etc.
First time that we were disappointed. Burgers were dry and tasteless. Bread was hard as rock. Not a S&W experience...
I wanted to be impressed, but sadly was not. Food was less than average. I will not return.
Took my nephew who is leaving for the marines soon. He loved it. Steaks are always on point here. The sides are stars. We enjoyed the prime rib hash as an appetizer (3 people) and then grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes as sides with our rib eyes. We were seated in the small room in the back where it's a bit quieter than the larger room. I prefer the bigger room since I don't mind the noisier setting. We will always return.
Great food and great service. Besides delicious steaks and sides, the coconut cake is a standout dessert. A shout out to server Heidi!
This was the only NYC steak restaurant that did not serve bread while waiting on ordered foods and drink. Everything else was great. Helpful staffs, perfectly grilled vegetables, etc. Steak was very good, but it tasted somewhat like a sirloin, not like a filet. I never had a filet with so many chewy parts.
Excellent as always! Consistent and attentive staff, excellent food, cannot recommend enough!

Delicious prime rib. Great steaks. The Grill is far more relaxed than the main dining room with the same food.
Wollensky's Grill has really come down in the world after years of excellence. Our food was mediocre, and the service was friendly but inattentive. Not a good value.
Food was expensive amd not so great. They do not make good mixed drinks

I love this place! The best classic steakhouse food. Classic bartenders who know how to mix a drink! My martini is always mixed to perfection, and I love the bleu cheese stuffed olives. My New York strip was cooked and seasoned to perfection. So flavorful! The waiter could have been a little more friendly, but the service was fine.
Excellent burger. Great flavor, juicy. Decent waffle fries. Open late on a Sunday night. Even though it was past midnight, server was friendly and considerate.
